Friend And Lover

Love that can not be fulfilled...
A friend then a lover it’s hard to tell
I found in you my eternal hell
You make me so happy
Yet make me so blue
My friend then my lover my sadness is you

I feel all the love that flows from your smile
But the coldness and loneliness are not far behind
You touch me with fingers of razors and lace
And dry my tears with a slap in the face

You quench the thirst in my heart for your love
But drown me with sorrow by withholding your touch
I need you, I want you, I can’t live without you
You need me, you want me but you cling to your vow

My friend and my lover you always will be
This connection remains between you and me
Happiness, sadness are all part of life
Living without you is too high a price
