Deep-fried Chicken Strips
Ingredients
  • 1 lbs chicken breasts cut into 1 inch strips
  • ¾ cup buttermilk
  • 1½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • Salt
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoons garlic powder
  • Vegetable oil
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
Directions
Pour some vegetable oil in a deep skillet or a deep fryer and heat it to about 350 to 375 degrees F. In a large mixing bowl, add some flour, garlic powder, salt and paprika to mix it well. Then in another mixing bowl, add the hot sauce, egg, buttermilk and sugar and mix this well too. Now, put the chicken strips in the dry flour mixture first and cover it well with it and shake off the extra flour. Then dip the same chicken strips into the egg mixture one at a time to coat it well with it. Then again put some flour mixture on it and then add the strips to the hot oil. Fry the chicken strips well till they are cooked to give a golden brown color. Oven-fried Chicken Strips
Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup reduced fat baking mix
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1½ teaspoons seasoning salt
  • 2 pounds chicken breast strips
Directions
In a baking pan melt the butter and preheat the oven to about 425 degrees F. In a large mixing bowl, add the cheese, baking mix, pepper and salt to mix it well. Then add the chicken breast to the bowl and coat it well. Keep the chicken strips on the baking dish coated with butter and place it in the oven for about 30 minutes. Once the chicken is brown and crispy, serve it hot with a bowl full of hot chili sauce or simply ketchup.

  • 3 eggs
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 cup red pepper sauce
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 pounds chicken breasts strips
  • Oil
  • Salt and pepper
Directions
In a large bowl, add the eggs and water and beat them well. Add the hot red pepper sauce to make the egg mixture light orange in color and mix it well. In another small bow, mix the flour with the salt and pepper. Then add the chicken to the egg mixture to coat it well and then coat it with the flour so it gets both the tastes equally. Heat the oil in a deep frying pan to about 350 degrees F and fry the chicken till it is golden brown in color.
