Fresh Air!
Pollution in the world today has reached alarming levels, and we need to soon do something about it....as the age old adage goes 'charity starts at home'......do your bit people.......
Of the grass and trees so green;
Has today become so polluted,
That the grass n trees cant be seen.
The need for place to build homes,
Means the cutting of a million trees;
And placing of concrete blocks called houses,
Oh! when will this cruelty cease!
My grandfather used to sit on the porch,
In his ever so old rocking chair;
He never had to go looking,
To get a whiff of the fresh scented air.
Times have changed a plenty,
And though the old porch is still there;
Down the road to the local park,
My father used to go for fresh air.
The changes a plenty have gone on,
The need for advancement, a race;
No longer does the porch exist,
There are apartments all over the place.
Nowadays I have to take a week off,
A week off from my daily grind;
To search and find fresh air,
To rejuvenate my lungs and mind.
So while we here in this world,
Lets try to stop polluting the air;
So like my grandfather and father,
We can enjoy fresh air anywhere.
