French Dessert Recipes: Easy Dessert Recipes

Cherry and Vanilla Dessert
Ingredients
- 1 ½ teaspoons of vanilla
- 3 egg whites
- 1 c. of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vinegar
- 20 soda crackers (finely crushed)
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
- ½ c. pecans (chopped)
- 1 pkg. of Dream whip
- 1 can of cherry pie mix
- 1 pkg. of cream cheese (softened)
- ½ c. of powdered sugar
- First beat the eggs until they are foamy and then add the sugar gradually and beat stiff.
- Now fold the crackers, vanilla, vinegar, pecans and baking powder and spread it in a 9*13 inch pan.
- When that is done, bake it at 325° for 20 minutes.
- Then combine the vanilla, cream cheese, and powdered sugar and prepare the dream whip and fold it into the cheese mixture.
- Now spread the cooled egg white mixture and spoon pie mix over this.
- Once the dessert is done, chill it for 2 to 3 hours.
Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 2 to 3 bananas
- 7 oz. of semi sweet baking chocolate
- Rum
- I tablespoon of butter (room temperature)
- A small quantity of powdered sugar to decorate
- Some butter and sugar for the baking dish
- ½ a cup of whole milk
- ⅔ cup of heavy cream
- In the beginning preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Then heat up the milk and the cream (remember not to boil) and pour over the pieces of chocolate and stir until the chocolate melts and the batter turns smooth.
- Now stir in the butter until smooth and add the eggs and whisk well.
- Add the eggs once the batter is cool and whisk well, then butter and sugar the baking dish.
- Once that is ready, cut the bananas into thick slices and line the baking dish with the slices of bananas.
- Now pour chocolate batter into the dish and over the bananas and bake this mixture for 15 to 25 minutes (depending on how firm you want it to be).
- After that is done, take it out of the oven and sprinkle the top with powdered sugar and rum. That done. Put it back into the oven (under the grill would be perfect) and bake for another 3 to 5 minutes. Serve the banana and chocolate dessert warm.
Ingredients
- ¾ c. of sugar
- ½ c. of whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons of butter
- ¼ c. of light corn syrup
- ½ c. of Health English toffee bars (chopped)
- 2 pt. of fresh strawberries (hulled and washed)
- ½ a pt. of dairy sour cream
- First combine the cream, sugar, butter and corn syrup in a saucepan and bring to a boil and boil for about a minute.
- Then remove it from the heat and stir in the chopped candy and cool stirring occasionally.
- Once that is done, serve the strawberries topped with toffee sauce and sour cream.
Ingredients
- 1 ½ c. of sugar
- 6 egg yolks
- 6 egg whites
- 2 c. of flour
- 1 lb. of sweet butter (melted)
- 1 lemon
- A pinch of salt
- First preheat the oven to 350° and whisk the egg yolks and sugar together until it is thick and lemon yellow in color.
- Then add the butter, lemon, butter and salt and mix well.
- Now beat the egg whites until they form stiff peaks.
- Once that is done gently fold the whites into the first mixture and butter a rectangle cake pan and also dust it with sugar.
- After that is done, pour the mixture into the pan and bake for 30 minutes or until it is brown on the top.
