2. Write and submit press releases. This will give you an instant push of publicity and some good traffic to your site.
3. Post comments on blogs in your niche. Many blogs will allow you to post a link to your site. But make sure your posts are meaningful and add to the discussion – or you will be accused of spamming and banned from future posts.
4. Contribute to discussions in forums and discussion boards. Many will allow you to post your link in a signature block. Again, make sure you are contributing to the discussion and not just posting blatant ads - this is no way to build credibility.
5. Review websites in your niche on alexa and include a reference back to your site.
6. When you buy a product you like see if the product creators are looking for testimonials. Many times they will let you give your URL at the end of the testimonial.
7. Another free traffic source is a subscription service like traffic swarm where you get points for viewing ads and clicking through to the sites. You can then use those points to place ads for your site that others will see and click on. Many think that these services don’t work because everyone there is just clicking on your ad to get points. But the truth of the matter is that I have found good products while clicking for points and have purchased from those ads. And I can’t be the only one who has purchased there.
