They really look like bundles (of joy) when you cuddle them up in woolens. Now I don't need to tell you what is that I am talking about, do I? Yes of course, they are the tiny tots, who look so cute in their (exclusively!) woolen clothing. If you are a mother to be or have or are ruminating over your little one's woolen clothing, perhaps this article could help you. Read on to know more on patterns that could be used for knitting.
Just some time ago, one of my friend's pregnant sister was knitting away voraciously. She was totally engrossed in it, when I called in for a visit at my friend's place. She and my friend were quite delighted to have me over and we had a nice chat. Soon enough, we changed the course of the talk to the knitting spree that my friend's sister was on. I asked her what is she up to and she told me that she was trying out a few patterns for her baby clothes. She was quite excited about the whole thing and told me almost everything she knew about knitting and various patterns for babies, thanks to the numerous websites and books available today.

Knitting includes a wide array of patterns and techniques that one can choose from. So I am presenting to you a few of them as prattled by my friend's sister.

Knitting Patterns For Children

Cover It Up: This is perhaps the most easiest and useful pattern. Well, yes, I am talking about bibs. For the newborn 'kiddo' or toddlers, knitting a bib is a perfect idea. Make it a special bib by decking it up like a pussy or a heart or a ship. A nicely and differently styled bib can be a great style statement for your kid, you never know!

On The Wormy Side: Amongst other things you can knit a cute inchworm cushion for cradling your baby when it's sleepy. Use a soft, cottony yarn, which is easily washable, for making the pillow, to ensure that your baby sleeps well. It is again one of those woolen things that you can make in a day. So go for this inchworm pillow to bring that smile on your baby's face or other babies. This is a must have accessory for baby bedding.

Heads Up: For the toddlers, a dog hat is amongst the cutest and an easy one too. Its absolute fun for the child who receives it. It's just a basic hat pattern with knit on ears as embellishments. It has a face worked in a duplicate stitch. A totally delightful pattern, with all its cuteness! You can experiment with a number of hats, once you get into the groove of making one. A thumbs up for the babies and toddlers!

Hands Up: No, do not worry here, I am not using any pistol or something against you to put your hands up. By hands up, I am referring to sweet little mittens. Mittens is like a glove and can be used for a wide age group in children. Knit a heart or a smiley in your mittens and they can be a fabulous accessory for your child or perhaps a gift for someone's baby.

Boot It Up: Cover your cuddly babies with knitted boot slippers. Play with the colors while knitting, by opting for 2 or 3 colors. That will make the boot slippers really lively and believe me the babies would love it.

For the girls: This will be an instant hit amongst the girls. And that is, lacy tank dresses in pink. So that, has to be for girls, right? So this lovely pink dress is a must have. It's just a simple A-shape skirt accompanied by a tank top. Be sure that your 'lil' princess is going to rock in this knitted dress.

These were just a fraction of the patterns in the category. There are lots more to check out and experiment on.

I am sure by now you are pining for more cuddly and cute knitting patterns for your babies - little prince and princesses. So go on, have a look and wrap your bundles of joy in some smashing woolen clothing!
