Fragile

A child living with physical abuse
You see her walk to school, burdens on her back
Her pain inside, happiness is what she lacks
Her fragile face
Hides the mystery of disgrace
No one to talk to
She carries bruises of black and blue
She screams in the middle of the night
The neighbors know but to intrude wouldn't be right
Her father doesn't care
He just leaves her there
He beat her down and left her bare
She's all alone
And she too young to make it on her own
A broken girl, she cries herself asleep
Her fathers heart is so cold, he doesn't even weep
He hears her cry
As she slowly starts to die
But an angel comes to her rescue
And she's now in a good place
With a smile on her face
No more tears
God took away her fears.
