Fountain of Life

I am searching my heart trying to find what is there
I’m starting to be callous and not to care
We are to love one another, that is your command
And on your word I tried to stand

My journey has been long and filled with tribulation
I’m starting to falter in your revelation
I have prayed so long and nothing changes for me
Yet, your blessings everywhere I see

My obedience to your word is beginning to waver
I’m having a hard time with blessings to savor
You wake me up each morning and start me on my way
Yet I am dreading another day

I find that I can still rejoice in others’ blessings
I need to know, is this just dressing
So I search my heart for what is there
Praying all along that you do care

I know not your plan for my life
But I pray it is not to continue in strife
I wish to fulfill your plans for me
Whatever, Lord can it be?

Search my heart and make it right
Give me the wisdom I need to overcome this plight
Lead me Lord over this mountain
That I can once again rejoice at your fountain
