Formula 1: Webber Wins Hungarian Grand Prix

Mark Webber took his Red Bull to victory at Hungary to ensure his team stays ahead in the championship table of the 2010 Formula 1 season...
Red Bull's Vettel started from pole position and raced away with the lead. But a pit stop incident on the 15th lap brought out the safety car. Here Vettel was handed a drive-through penalty as he was charged with staying back more than 10 car lengths behind the safety car to hold Ferrari's Alonso back. This is where Webber grabbed his chance and took the race in his hands. He crossed the checkered flag first, followed by Alonso, while Vettel had to be content with 3rd place. This win took Webber to the top of the driver's standings in the current Formula One season. It also made sure Red Bull are ahead of McLaren in the team standings.

Michael Schumacher was penalized and handed a 10 place grid penalty because of his clash with Rubens Barrichello at the near end of the race. This penalty will be applicable for the next race in Belgium. Meanwhile, Mercedes and Renault both were fined $50,000 by FIA for pit stop errors which affected others teams during their pit stops.
