Formula 1: Race 15

The Formula 1 racing season for this year is drawing to a close. 2 races more and we will have the final results for this season. Summary - post race 15…
Formula 1: Race 15
As we draw close to the end of the Formula 1 racing season, just 2 races are left to determine the champion driver and the winning constructor. As far as the constructor's title is concerned, Brawn-Mercedes are almost assured of the title. As regards to the drivers, Jenson Button already has one hand on the trophy. But need we say, strange things happen in sports. Barrichello and Vettel both have an outside chance to stand tall, though that seems to be very unlikely now.

Inspite of a late car safety intervention, Vettel won the race with Trulli coming in second, nearly 5 seconds later. Hamilton came in third, a little less than 2 seconds later. Raikkonen was fourth, while Rosberg came in fifth. Heidfeld managed sixth place, and then the two Brawn drivers Barichello and Button taking the last two points scoring positions respectively.

All other drivers not named here have not yet been able to pick up an point till now. Thjis year has seen a big shift from the dominance of Ferrari and McLaren to Brawn and RBR-Renault.

Constructor's Leaderboard

You can compare the present standings with the standings that were prevalent as after Race 12. The next race in Brazil on the 18th of October might just lay to rest any further hopes and speculation of the champion driver and constructor. The Formula 1 schedule now quite does not allow any major upset regarding the overall results for this season. Brawn seems to have both in their bag, unless we witness something really spectacular, not only by some other driver or team, but also adversely by Brawn themselves. It has been a year of quite a few ups and downs for formula 1 racing. Just 2 more races, so next Brazil…Brasil…it is!!!
