Former Big Brother Winner Arrested on Federal Drug Charges
Adam Jasinski, known on Big Brother as "A Baller", was arrested over the weekend trying to sell oxycodone to federal agents.
It would appear that A Baller has quite a bit of explaining to do. After being arrested in Massachusetts with a sock full of oxycodone, Adam Jasinski now finds himself in big trouble with the law. Only last year, Adam won $500,000 on Big Brother, taking home the big prize after outlasting the rest of the contestants over a grueling months-long competition.
Apparently, Jasinski used the $500,000 he won on the show to launch a prescription drug cartel, in which he purchased large amounts of oxycodone, then re-sold the pills at a big profit to other dealers and users. Jasinski had been living in Delray Beach, Florida and allegedly flew into Boston to make what he believed was to be a drug deal involving the purchase of his oxycodone by what turned out to be a government witness.
Anyone that saw the Big Brother season won by A Baller will quickly recall that it's unlikely that he is masterminding a drug ring. For his sake, he better hope that there are some larger fish up the drug chain that the feds want even more than him. His celebrity will hurt him in this instance, as the authorities will likely be unwilling to miss an opportunity to turn him into a poster child for prescription drug dealing and what can happen when you get caught.
It will be interesting to watch this story unfold and see who, if anyone, Jasinski will implicate as he struggles to avoid serious jail time on federal drug charges. There had to be a smarter way to spend the $500,000, right?
