Forgiving the Forgotten - 66 - Home
This chapter also contains the end of this story and the epilogue.... I had a very special time writing it, creating a love so true and yet so beautiful that i forgot my own lovelessness....
CHAPTER 66: HOME:
TAEEN'S POV:
That evening, it was me, my husband and our son on the dinner table.
He called me mum and Amenatsu as dad. It was awkward at first, being the mother of a 15 year old.
"I wonder what I'll do for work here...."
I suggested happily, "I could ask J to come over and teach you about this planet you know...."
He replied politely, "That would do me good, but I think I want to rest for the next few days...."
Amenatsu stared at me again and again.
He questioned me mentally, "What are you hiding from me? why the occlumency barrier? Is something wrong?"
I shook my head and continued chatting with Dawn.
We showed Dawn his quarters together.
"Who decorated my room so personally?"
He was amazed to see all the things that would suite him in the room.
I spoke softly, with a hand on his shoulder, "Someone who very patiently waited fifteen years for your return. Hayame had constant access to your room."
He said jokingly, "Does she have access even now?"
"Mind your language you perverted son!" Amenatsu wrestled with him playfully and they strolled through the thoughtfully decorated room.
When we were leaving Amenatsu said to Dawn, "Hayame has seen to it that you can't think of anything but her...."
He replied without hesitation, "Since the day I met her, there is little that I think about except her...."

We returned to our quarters and Amenatsu once again began hounding me with questions.
"Taeen! Please... why are you not letting me know. I will not rest till you tell me your troubles!"
I tried to act serious. I tried to suppress my smile but I couldn't. Hmmm... some things have to be shared as soon as possible. So why delay it any longer.
"Amenatsu... Mia called me to her palace today..."
He looked on, a smile beginning to form on his handsome face, "And?"
I looked down and whispered to him, "We are having twin baby girls... very soon."
At first he just stared at me.
Then he smiled. A smile that I hadn't seen from ages. Since the time Dawn had disappeared from our lives.
He sat beside me on the edge of the bed. He put an arm around me and squeezed my shoulder.
"Why the secrecy?"
"I wanted to surprise you...."
"I had guessed it some time ago. Your power levels were rocketing very high.... some powerful daughters you have in there...."
I giggled against his shoulder. His black hair smelled of shampoo. His long fingers massaged my head gently, lulling me to sleep.
"Taeen... let's go to our paradise tonight... let's see the moons tonight...."
I murmured softly. I heard his soft laughter and allowed him to carry me into the skies. I woke up some time later, we were floating in our paradise. The three moons of Jerome shone softly on our face.
I placed a hand on Amenatsu's face.
Looking deep into his eyes, "So... I guess you finally found a place to call your own."
He nodded, his hands holding me protectively, the gentle wind blowing away my hair, "I have found someone to call mine, you my beloved...."
He leaned in to kiss me, a long, satisfying, demanding kiss.
I finally said the words that would remain etched in our minds forever, "Amenatsu, welcome home...."
EPILOGUE:
The king and queen of Jerome were blessed with twin daughters. For Amenatsu, who had begun this journey because of being a twin, having twins was going to be an interesting experience.
The twin daughters- Sasha and Tasha were beautiful babies who were up to their ears in mischief, at almost all times.
Taeen and Amenatsu ended up being wonderful rulers and even better parents.
The Tatsu island became an ally, as did Aria. Rows was asked to relieve its control over Aria, which was finally allowed.
A galactic pact of planets was formed. Amenatsu was the chairman of the committee which saw to the peaceful coexistence of all planets.
Ru and Mia lived happily with Aiden growing up like a Jeromian. Zuniyah is interested in botany, like Taeen.
As for Trace, well, he married a Tamayini princess and both were finally able to express their emotions to some extent. What a couple they made!
Dawn waited very impatiently till he was 20 and then proposed to Hayame, who obviously said yes. Though they couldn't be married till Dawn would reach 24, they did get engaged.
Taeen and Amenatsu had a long time ahead of them making the world a better place. And making each other the most happily married people ever.
And thus ends the tale of the black dragon and the golden phoenix.
