For the Love of Jewelry

Find out why a lot of people enjoy handmade, artisan jewelry these days.
I have a couple of friends who adore jewelry. It is a real source of joy to them. It fascinates them and makes them feel pretty. And some people really do look good in jewelry. My two friends do. They match colored stones to the clothes they wear. They have whole collections of watches, necklaces for casual occasions and dress-up. They have thin bracelets and they have fat bracelets. They have pins to wear during the Christmas Season; little Christmas Trees, sleighs, Santas, Elves, and Snowmen. They have pumpkins, scarecrows, skeletons, black cats, little white ghosts, and witches for Halloween. They like jewelry parties, jewelry stores, and pictures of jewelry. They like gold, copper and silver. They like pearls and diamonds, rubies, sapphires, garnets, and tanzanite.

My friends like to make their own artisan jewelry, string their own beads. They like handmade jewelry boxes and earring trees. They like antique jewelry and they like contemporary costume jewelry almost as much as they like precious stones. They like personalized jewelry, like bracelets with the grandchildren’s names etched in charms, leather jewelry or pins or necklaces with their initials.

My neighbor has so much jewelry, especially unique wood, copper and unique jewelry that her husband often can’t remember a piece she has worn many times before because she has so much she can continually alternate the pieces.

My father gave my mother a diamond ring one Christmas. He learned all about diamonds before he bought it and could tell you all about a stone from studying it through the loupes he bought.
