What happened to the girl,
The one I saw not long ago.
The one that is so bright,
The one that is so hopeful.
Who is this girl,
The one that listens to what others say.
The one that thinks everything's her fault,
The one that couldn't be more wrong.
Who is this girl,
The one with such great strength.
Now buried inside so deep,
The one that doesn't know what to do.
What happened to that girl,
I'll tell you what I think.
Hope turned its back on her,
And stole away her smile.
