Westside Campgrounds. 01:23 p.m. 20/02/08

"GET DOWN!" he shouted.

I ducked, just as the box exploded.

Everything was quiet except for the bits of cardboard landing on the floor.

"Tammy! Are you all right!" he was shouting so loud my ear throbbed. I tuned my ear piece down.

"Yeah I’m fine."

"Get out of there now! They know you’re in there!"

I froze and stood up. I bolted towards the door.

"Where do you think you’re going sweetie?" I whirled around. A woman was standing there. Red lipstick high heeled boots. Full on skank.

Before I could comprehend she tossed something at me. On instinct I ducked. I found out she just threw a knife at me. She leaped at me. I let her land on me for just a moment before throwing her back onto the floor and punched her in the face. Blood leaked from her lip.

She snarled at me. "You’ll pay for that one witch!"

She kicked at me. I ducked and hit her in the stomach she doubled over.

It was hard fighting like this. The place was willed with wood splinters everywhere, the debris the explosion had left behind.
She screamed and punched me in the jaw. I grabbed her by the hair and hurled her toward the door. I pulled out my shock gun and fired at her. She dropped down stunned. I wasn’t yet of legal age to kill people, so the company gave me this instead.

"Where do I go?" I said into my speaker phone.

"There should be a door at your left." I bolted for it before any other unexpected people showed up.

It lead into a long corridor. "Count five doors down on your right and go through the sixth one." I ran.
One

Two

Three

Four

Five…

Six!

I tried to open it but it wouldn’t budge.

"It’s locked!"

"Damn." Mark cursed. "Hold on."

I heard footsteps above me and some coming down the stairs.

"Hurry!" I hissed.

"Okay, okay.. Try now!"

It opened with ease. "You really gotta tell me how you do that." I muttered.

He chuckled, "In due time."

The door lead into yet another corridor.

I stopped and a dead end.

"Now what?"

"Ok, look down, there should be a vent our something."

I looked and unscrewed it. Crawling inside, I could hear the guards approaching.

"Where to now?" I looked left and right, not sure which path to take.

"Right. Keep going and you should see a light. "

I crawled. It was filthy down here. But soon, after much crawling on my hands and knees I saw it.

"Yup, I’m there now Mark, what else do I do?"

"Ok unscrew the bolts. There shouldn’t be anyone in that room."
I stepped out into the room. It was the janitors closet. I saw a white work suit and I pulled it on and tied my hair back. I grabbed the cart, opened the door and stepped outside.

No one gave me a second look. I kept going straight. I saw the front door, but not before I saw him myself. The head honcho himself. Kyle Smith. That man was responsible for many scams and traded weapons to our enemies. He was dangerous.

I "accidentally" bumped into him while grabbing, a memory stick outside his pocket. Mark said it would be there. I’m only glad he was right.

Smith stopped me and gave me one of his charming smiles, "Do I know you?"

I shook my head.

"There she is! Don’t let her get away!"

I looked behind me and at that instant, hands encircled me and Smith tied my wrists together. I cursed. I shouldn’t have let my guard down for a second. He plucked the memory stick from my hand.

"Hasn’t anyone ever told you that stealing is bad?"

I said something very unholy to him.

His eyebrows rose in surprise, "tsk, tsk, tsk, such language from a lady."

One of his guards came behind me and grabbed my hands.

"Why are you here?"

I kept my lips sealed.

"Tell me, and I might just let you go."

"Go to hell." I spat at him. I whipped my head back then forward, head butting the guy behind me. I kicked Smith in his, "you-know-wheres" he doubled over. I grabbed the memory stick from his hands.
"Get her!" Smith yelled. I ran. The doors just meters away. I would make it.

Biting the tape that tied my hands, I wrestled free. The guards were just behind me now. I pulled the device strapped to my leg and slammed it on the door on my way out. This place was secluded; it was in an urban area.

"Mark! Where’s the helicopter?"

Soon enough, a black helicopter was descending down. I ran across the field. Bullets were fired around me. I had 6 seconds before the bomb exploded.

Five.

I ran.

Four.

More bullets.

Three.

I could hear their shouts and footsteps as they ran after me.

Two.

The helicopter was just with in my reach. With all my might I threw the memory stick at them. The man outside caught it.

One.

I jumped.

A deafening explosion filled the land.

I would make it. If only I could make it. The bottom rail of the helicopter was in my grasp. But the force from the explosion made me miss it by just a bit. My heart sank. But then an arm lashed out and grabbed me roughly by the arm and pulled me up. I was safe. The danger was over.
Mark sat across me sweating.

"Well there’s a first for ya!"

I rolled my eyes. No matter how tense it was, trust Mark to say something to lighten up.

I was breathing heavily.

The guy held the memory stick and placed it in a silver case.

"Good work Agent."

I nodded. Then closed my eyes and went to sleep….

HQ 05:00 a.m. 21/02/08

"Wake up! Wake up! You don’t want to miss your first day at school!"
I groaned. My body ached from yesterday’s hard work. I sat up. I was in my chambers again. I sighed. I had forgotten about that.
I got up and dressed.

Mark popped his head in once I had finished.

"Vandike, wants to see you now."

I nodded.

Vandike, was the head of this HQ in this area. He was very admirable. I didn’t dare ask for his age but I’d say somewhere around late forties…

"Miss Osborne . You are aware that you have a mission today?"
I nodded.

"I must warn you; this is different from all your other ones. You will be enrolling into Elenore High School. There, you will come in contact of a boy named Jack Peyton." He tossed a profile to me. I opened it. Jack definitely had classic good looks. Broad shoulders, sandy blond hair and brown eyes. A girl could get used to a guy like him hanging around.

"He’s the son of one of our enemy companies. He goes to the school you will be attending. Your job is to get close to him, get him to unravel his secrets. If you get close enough you can try to get into his dad’s office, plant a bug in there and then get out. Your mission will not end immediately after that. You will be expected to keep tabs on the boy. If you leave straight after, it will arouse some suspicions. This will take time, but I’m sure you’ll do fine."

He reached inside the drawer of his desk and pulled out a platinum watch and handed it to me. "Once you see him press the side red button to alert us. You think you can handle this?"
I nodded.

"Excellent."

Elenore High School 08:00 a.m. 21/02/08

I strolled up the steps. I have been to a school before, but I have never been at one like this. It was a bit intimidating; it was like your average school. The cheerleaders were cheering near the front gates and the jocks were sitting on the bench not far from them.

They looked at me. I looked away. None of them were Jack Peyton. Where was he?

People kept looking at me as I passed. I bit my lip self-consciously but kept walking.

As I was walking I accidentally bumped into a cheerleader. I could tell by her uniform. A group of other girls were behind her. Curly blond hair, blue eyes, definitely.

"Excuse me! Watch where you’re going."

"Sorry. I’m new here do you know where I could find the Principal’s office?"

"Um, I did I give you permission to speak to me? What do I look like? The help?"

I realized everyone was looking at us. Wow, major attention.
Another girl came up to me. She definitely wasn’t a cheerleader. I could tell by the way she looked at her.
"Leave her alone Brittney."

"Awww, made friends with the social reject already? That’s so sweet."

"I’ll show you how sweet your blood tastes if you don’t shut-up." I said.

"Tsk, tsk, violence will get you nowhere new girl. Raise a hand against me and I’ll make my daddy sue your parents so hard, you’ll be picking up litter as a hobby. Bye-bye to your social life. "

I blinked, "You know you look like a girl daddy’s little girl. You know, one of those snobby stuck up ones who think the moon is made up of cheese. Let me guess. You ask ‘daddy’ to buy you anything and everything, someone who has the brain of an ant, someone who’s so intellectually demented that they don’t know when they’ve crossed the line. But she’ll still be a skank at the end of the day" One of her friends sniggered. I saw the girl shoot her an irritated look.

That shut her up.

She flipped her hair, "I don’t think the moon is made up of cheese, but I do know that you are soooo way in over your head new girl. Let me make this clear, you don’t talk to me, don’t look at me you stay away from me? Okay?"

I smiled a fake smile at her, "Of course." And with that final note I punched her in the face. Hard. Everyone gasped. She doubled over.
"Now let me make myself clear ‘Barbie’. If you insult me again, I’ll break more than your nose next time. Bring up my family again in any conversation, and you’re dead."

Just then the principal strolled down the hall way.
"What just happened here!" he bellowed.

Brittney struggled to get up she pointed a finger at me, "She’s…. she hit me!.. She’s dangerous."

He looked at me, "Is this true?"

"Yes sir it is." I looked at Britney whose eye was starting to swell. To my delight she flinched. "And I’d do it all again."

"I see. After homeroom, come to my office. Miss Clark, I’ll send the nurse down to you."

The girl next to me exhaled heavily, "You sure do know how to make a statement."

I smiled in spite of myself, "One of my many talents."

"I’m Ruth." She said as she extended her hand.

I shook it, "Tammy Osborne."

She smiled, "Welcome to Elenore High."

I looked around. Most people had cleared away.

"You know where your homeroom is?" she asked.

"Nope."

"Let’s see your form." She took it from my hands. "Hmm… looks like you’re with me. Come on then."

Just as I turned. I saw him grinning in the darkness leaning casually against the lockers. He nodded in acknowledgement. I had just found the son of the devil.

Jack Peyton.

I was supposed to get to know him, to even date him if necessary. From the way he looks; sandy blonde hair, brown eyes. Schools, eligible bachelor, a girl could really get used to that guy hanging around. But I wasn’t just any girl, I was a spy. "His type" was the one I hated the most. But with a guy like him around, a girl could fall in love…..

I pressed the red button on my watch. I wouldn’t get side tracked. He was my target, nothing more.

Jack Peyton.

Run as fast as you can…..
