Homemade Foot Scrub Recipes

Before beginning with the recipes, I must tell you that you must use a foot scrub only after you have soaked your foot in some lukewarm water, for a minimum of 15 minutes. This is because a foot soak softens the hardened dead cells that form a thick layer at the heels. You can also make rather soothing foot soaks at home by either adding 2 cupfuls of black coffee or a single cup of honey in a gallon of water. However, my favorite foot soak is one which can be made from a cup of lemon juice, ¼th cup of and 3 generous tablespoonfuls of gorgeous olive oil. Mix these well and then pour it into a gallon of mildly warm water. You will literally experience bliss! After soaking it into this foot soak, scrub your feet.

Sugar Foot Scrub Recipe
Now you must use a plastic bowl for this recipe and otherwise you'll need:
  • White sugar, ¼ cup
  • Sweet almond oil, ¼ cup
  • Cayenne pepper, 1 tsp. (ground)
  • Orange essential oil, 6 drops
  • Ginger essential oil, 1 drop
Procedure
Blend the almond oil and sugar together and then add the two essential oils to it. See to it that the grainy texture of the sugar is retained. Lastly, stir in the cayenne pepper powder and then use it luxuriously to treat your feet to a great foot scrub. Sugar scrubs are beneficial by way of restoring the natural oil balance of the skin and getting rid of unwanted blemishes.

Sea Salt Foot Scrub Recipe
Salt scrubs are known to detoxify the skin thus, unblocking the pores are believed to boost blood circulation. So, to make this scrub, gather:
  • Epsom or sea salt, 1 cup
  • Cornmeal, ¼ cup (uncooked)
  • Baby oil, ¼ cup baby oil
Procedure
Commingle all three ingredients in a bowl and gradually stir. Once you get the desired pasty consistency, use the scrub to exfoliate your callused feet.

Peppermint Foot Scrub Recipe
Now the components required for this foot scrub are:
  • Granulated sugar, 1 cup
  • Olive Oil, ¼ cup

Dry Beach Sand Foot Scrub Recipe
This is like the easiest and most convenient foot scrub recipe that you can opt for, if you reside in a place with a seacoast and a super gorgeous beach. Just mix together the following:
  • Dry beach sand, 2 tbsp
  • Canola oil, 2 tbsp.
  • Rosemary or suntan oil, 5 drops
Procedure
All you then need to do is scrub your hardened heels with this mildly, wash it off with lukewarm water and pat dry!

Aloe Vera-Oatmeal Foot Scrub Recipe
Things you must have on you:
  • Oatmeal, ¼ cup (uncooked and finely ground)
  • Sea salt, ¼ cup
  • Cornmeal, ¼ cup (uncooked)
  • Foot lotion, ¼ cup
  • Aloe vera gel, 2 tbsp.
Procedure
Just mix everything together to make a nice paste. Gently massage it on your feet as you scrub and then rinse with lukewarm water.

For the foot lotion, you can blend a banana and lemon juice along with some honey in a mixer and that will give you an amazingly nourishing ointment, that will love your feet even outside this foot scrub recipe.
