Fly, you annoying bug
That’s why we invented the swatter
To kill you when you bother us
When you buzz my ears
Or decorate my wall
Or bite into my skin

C’mon
You give me no choice
But to reach for the swatter
And take a swing
At your skin

If I’m lucky
Or good
You are dead
Only to be picked up
With a tissue
And discarded

But really
Is that what
Mother Nature
Wants?
