Flutter by, Butterfly
A short poem about a butterfly :) Enjoy!
The butterfly soars
Through open air,
Wandering aimless
Without a care.
Drifting freely
On delicate wings,
Chanting softly
It quietly sings.
Sporadic beauty
Can open and close,
His wings are a door
(As the legend goes).
Wide-spread wings
In trust, I see
His soft-lit beauty
Displayed for me.
Those sky-bright blues
And mottled grays
Of my flittering jewel
Forever will stay,
And weave silver threads
Through my star-dazed dreams
To remind me of him
And the joy that he brings.
Through open air,
Wandering aimless
Without a care.
Drifting freely
On delicate wings,
Chanting softly
It quietly sings.
Sporadic beauty
Can open and close,
His wings are a door
(As the legend goes).
Wide-spread wings
In trust, I see
His soft-lit beauty
Displayed for me.
Those sky-bright blues
And mottled grays
Of my flittering jewel
Forever will stay,
And weave silver threads
Through my star-dazed dreams
To remind me of him
And the joy that he brings.
