Fluoride Dangers May Force Families To Find Alternatives For Cleaning Children's Fangs

Think you know what's in your toothpaste? Think again. Find out why it may be time for you to consider going green to get you and your children's teeth clean.
Do you really understand why your teeth are important? Do you understand the potential dangers of using "regular toothpaste? Your teeth are important to your overall health. Your ability to keep them clean, without harmful side effects, reduces your risk of decay. Just brushing is no longer enough. You need to consider naturally cleaning your teeth.

Since all of us (or, most of us, at least) have to go through some amount of effort to make sure that we take care of our teeth in the first place, we should also consider the inherent short- and long-term value to natural tooth care. To some degree, it is all part of a natural process, isn't it? Yet, too often we take for granted that what goes into toothpaste is harmless to us and to our children when, in fact, the exact opposite could be true.

Teeth

Teeth problems occur due to terrible eating habits, malnutrition, and bad teeth cleaning habits just to state some of the reason. We've all gotten the occasional, or maybe all too regular, sweet tooth. Yet, by and large, we take the ability to chew for granted, and like a lot of other privileges of life, we don't give a second thought to the discipline of taking good care of what we have.

Teeth whitening remedies abound and because of the proliferation of both the home kits and dentists performing the procedures, we feel somehow compelled to buy every product being peddled. But, not so fast, my friend. Popularity does not ensure safety or effectiveness. Popularity only ensures that the makers of such products receive a healthy profit. Don't get me wrong, profit is essential to good business. I don't believe, however, that profit should be made at the expense of anyone's life or health, even if it is only your teeth.

Toothbrushing

It's a no-brainer that brushing your teeth is one of the most, if not the most, effective ways to remove plaque build-up from your teeth. So, it goes without saying that your teeth need to be brushed regularly, preferably more than once a day by dentist's standards. Toothpaste with fluoride in it has become the standard by which all toothpaste effectiveness is judged. Be careful, though, because fluoride has also been known to be poisonous and cause allergic reactions in some cases. Additionally, there are more additives in commercially-available toothpaste than you and I can count or know how to pronounce. So, what do you do if you don't want to risk your health or that of your children and still keep those gorgeous "pearly whites"? Naturally clean your teeth.

Toothpaste

We have been brainwashed into believing that only "dentist-approved" toothpaste is effective, and I highly respect dentists, so that's not to "dis" them in any way. As with most things in this society, though, I believe that we need to take a closer look at what we're being told and compare it to the actual intelligence and information on the various products being sold in the marketplace, even if it's only for toothpaste.

Your Health Can Be Seen In Your Teeth

Your eyes are the windows to your soul. Your teeth blaze the trail to your entire system. If it's on your teeth, it's either going into or coming out of your system. Maybe a slightly gross thought, but true nonetheless. Pay close attention to what you allow to get onto or stay on your teeth. Find out what really is in your toothpaste. Consider cleaning your teeth naturally...your smile with thank you.
