Florida Sun Gets Best of My Eyes on the Course

I played a round of golf yesterday, and I must say the Florida sun is a killer element. It wreaked havoc on my under-eye area and left me with some serious sunburn after yesterdays golf match, even though I took many precautionary measures.
The Florida sun needs no introduction. People from all across the world visit Florida each year to take part in the many activities it offers for fun, family, and relaxation. The Florida sun is very strong, and people like me, who live in Florida, should be better prepared for what I did to myself yesterday, which was essentially contribute to eye wrinkling. Here is a summary of my routine yesterday as I played a round of golf, yet walked away with some serious sun damage.

I arrived at Doral Golf Course & Spa around 9:30 am. The course was naturally empty for Doral standards as it was Mothers Day.There was plenty of room between groups of and I didn't even have to make a foursome, I simply golfed with my normal golf partner and we did our own thing, which was nice. Before the round I applied some spf 25 lotion to my legs, face, and arms. I covered every area that was to be exposed to the sun. Doing a good job to rub it in, I was very careful to not leave any skin exposed to the sun. However, to my dismay, my eye area looked like a raccoon when my round was done with.

I arrived home around 3:30 pm, and even though I had applied more sunblock all over my face and neck around noon, I still had some effects of the sun showing on my face, especially under my eyes. My entire face had a red completion, and as noted under my eyes there was visible puffiness and redness. So, being pretty up to speed with the entire skin care industry and especially anti aging routines for the under eye area, I took some safety measures. I applied the best eye serum I had around the house, the Elite Serum if you are curious, and applied a fingertip of it under each eye. It only takes about 3-5 minutes to absorb and fully dry, which is pretty good when compared to other serums out there. After letting it dry I let the refreshing, cooling sensation get into my skin and do it's magic. This felt good and seemed to subside the swelling under my eyes. I felt refreshed instantly.

As if that wasn't enough, I hard boiled an egg and put the whites in the freezer for about 30 minutes. After they were good and cold, I removed them and put them under my eyes as well.If you hold an egg white under each eye, especially a cold one, you geta cool, fresh sensation that takes away any burn, as I had. This is perfect compliment to the best eye serum and worked rather well to relax the muscles and skin under my eyes.

The bottom line is I should have known better. I study this and write about it constantly. I know the sun can have serious ramifications to my under eye area, and burn the skin, yet I didn't apply enough lotion. This is a serious thing as obviously wrinkling is not something I want to have take over my face. Now I know better for next time. I think I will apply spf every three holes at the maximum. Lesson learned!
Eye Serum
Eye Serums can help cool the under-eye area after sunburn, as in my case yesterday!
