If you thought bacon was just meant to be eaten, think again. This vodka recipe has been around for centuries, now. If you can develop a taste for it, you will absolutely love it. You will need a bottle of good quality plain vodka and 3 strips of bacon. Follow these directions for best results.
  • Fry the strips of bacon.
  • Simply place the bacon strips in a container and fill the container with the vodka.
  • You can also add peppercorns to the mixture to enhance the taste.
  • Keep the mixture covered for 3 weeks in a dark and cool place.
  • Once the 3 weeks have passed, put the mixture in a freezer so that the fat congeals.
  • Now strain the mixture through a filter to get rid of the fat. Your bacon flavored vodka is ready for consumption.
Strawberry Ice

All you need to do is pour 1 oz. orange vodka, 1 oz. raspberry vodka, 1 oz. regular vodka and 2 oz. lemon-lime soda into a glass with ice, and you have a traditional ice bomb on your hands. Be warned though, this is a highly potent drink.

How to Make Flavored Vodka
Here are some more ideas for you to make flavored vodka by yourself. Once these are made, you can use them for your flavored vodka drinks. The regular vodka that you choose as the base is very important. Buying low quality regular vodka will not give you the best taste possible, and the really high quality premium vodkas are best tasted on their own. So choose a brand that is intermediary in taste, quality and price. It goes without saying that the ingredients you choose are vitally important. You can choose some of the following ingredients.
  • Mango
  • Lemon
  • Apple
  • Raspberry
  • Peach
  • Strawberry
Always remember to use ingredients that are absolutely fresh. This will greatly enrich the flavor of the vodka. Also procure a container or a jar that can be sealed completely for the purpose of this brew.

Now what you need to do is cut chunks of the ingredients you are using. If there are any seeds or pits in the ingredient, remove it immediately. Add these chunks to your container and simply pour the vodka over it. The ingredients need not be submerged completely in the vodka, but there must be enough of vodka to cover the ingredients when the container is shaken. Store the container in a dark and cool place, and shake it once every 3-4 days. After 2 weeks have passed, you are ready for the nest step. Strain the vodka into a bottle using a coffee filter, and give the mixture another 2-3 weeks to age. You have now successfully made your own flavored vodka.

Flavored vodka recipes and drinks are great for consumption and make excellent gifts as well. The fact that you have made the concoction yourself at home greatly adds to their novelty and uniqueness. You must always be open to experimentation and change, and over time you will learn more tricks of the trade. Cheers!
