First Love Chapter 8
Emma had moved into a new town and a new school where she meets and falls in love with Jack who loves her back. ;) The title explains it all. Hope you like it :D Emma's POV on the day at the park. Have fun and comments are greatly appreciated.
Ok guys so I saw the polls and the majority of the group voted for POV’s to stay, really sorry for those that didn’t want them… lol its 2:51am right now and I’ve finished chapter 8, oh I didn’t need a week to write this because when I saw the polls there were already like 50 people who voted for POV’s and I didn’t think that the Non-POV’s would catch up. Anyways thanks for voting and for taking your time to send me some amazing comments. Emma’s POV
Emma gave a dreamy sigh. Then she smiled thinking about the great time they were going to have at the park. Max was playing with his chew toy and Emma laughed at his antics, jumping all over the place and yipping.
Emma was deciding on what to wear when the phone rang. "Hello?" Emma asked cautiously, maybe it was a salesperson, Emma thought. "Hey! Emma, its Andy you want to do something today?"
Emma smiled Andy is always so energetic. " I’m going to the park today." Should I tell her I’m going with Jack and his sister? Emma didn’t want Andy to come but they had became close friends. "I umm.. I’m going with Jack and his little sister."
"I knew you two had a thing for each other," Andy teased.
"I… we.. ummm we’re just going to the park, its not a date or anything," Emma blushed, feeling a little embarrassed and was thankful Andy didn’t see her.
"You can come if you want?" Emma asked.
"Nah, I’ll find something else to do," Andy said, "don’t want to ruin your day alone with Jack," she said in a teasing voice.
"His little sister, Maddie is coming along too," Emma argued, she blushed again thinking of being alone with Jack.
"Okay, well I’m gona find something else to do, maybe one of the guys wants to play ball, well bye Emma good luck, wink wink," Andy laughed.
"Bye," Emma said, smiling, then they hung up the phone.
Emma quickly got dressed and went down to have breakfast. Emma saw her mom and went over to give her a hug. "Hey Em, what do you want for breakfast?" Her mom asked.
"Oh ummm eggs and toast," Emma decided, "Morning Dad." Emma’s dad was watching TV and lounging on the couch, he turned to greet his daughter and noticed she was dressed to go outside.
"Hey Em, why are you so spruced up, got a date?" Her dad teased, smiling.
Emma felt her face heating up, "I’m going to the park with Max," Emma paused deciding whether to tell them that she was going with Jack and his little sister, "and some… friends."
"You’ve made friends already? That’s great hunny," her mom said, setting the eggs and toast on the table. "Oh me and your dad are going to this spa we found last week," They sat at the table eating breakfast. "Okay you guys have fun then," Emma replied.
They were getting ready to go. "We’ll be back at six, have fun at the park Em," her dad said, following her mom out the door. "Have fun," Emma waved at them.
Emma and Max sat on the couch watching TV and 10 minuets later the doorbell rang. Mom and Dad forgot something again, Emma thought. Emma opened the door and saw an adorable girl with sandy blond hair, tied in pigtails and bright hazel eyes. "Hi! I’m Maddie! Nice to meet you, Jackie says we’re going to the park with you and a puppy named Max, I love puppies! They’re so cute and furry, you have pretty hair."
Emma smiled she’s so cute! Then she noticed Jack standing behind Maddie, Emma felt her heartbeat quicken and a sweet tingling sensation run through her body. Wow, Emma thought, Jack looks so handsome… he was wearing a polo shirt that showed off his tan which he probable got while playing soccer, and the green-blue shorts showed off his leg muscles, stop staring at him, you idiot, Emma scowled herself.
Then their eyes met, Emma began blushing, oh this is so embarrassing he caught me staring at him! Jack smiled showing his dimples, oh he’s so cute… smile back you dummy, he’ll think something’s wrong with you. Emma gave him a tiny smile.
"Oh!" Jack said suddenly, "Err… these are for you."
Jack was holding out the pretty blue and white flowers towards Emma. Wow… they’re so pretty, no one’s ever given me flowers before… Emma blushed and told him that no one had given her flowers before.
She gave Jack a big smile, "…they’re so beautiful, thanks."
"I’m going to find something to put them in, I‘ll be right back," and she went into the house trying to find a vase. Emma searched the cupboards and found a glass, this will have to do, she thought and filed it up with water then she put the flowers into the glass. Emma smelled the flowers and gave a dreamy sigh.
Emma come back out and she brought Max so they can go to the park together. Emma let Maddie hold Max’s leash and Maddie was chatting happily, Emma smiled at her thinking that Maddie was very energetic and talkative, she has cute little dimples when she smiles, that looks like Jack’s.
"Mommy said that I couldn’t have a pet puppy because they said that I was too young to take care of it," Maddie pouted.
Emma smiled at her, "well you can come over anytime if you want to visit Max."
Maddie gave Emma a big grin, "really?" aww she’s so cute, Emma thought, Maddie’s eyes were twinkling and her smile deepened her dimples.
Emma grinned back, "yup."
Maddie suddenly looks over at her shoulders and shouted at Jack, "hurry up Jacky, your so slow!"
"Hey!" Jack said pretending to look hurt, "these bags are heavy!"
Maddie began to giggle and Emma soon joined her.
"Jacky’s so strong, right Jacky?" Then Maddie turns to whisper loudly to Emma, "and he needs the extra exercise, his belly is getting big from all the cookies he’s been eating yesterday."
"Hey! I heard that!" Jack pretended to scowl at Maddie, making her giggle.
Emma laughing at the both of them. It wasn’t hard to see the love they have for each other, and Emma likes Jack more because of it. He so kind to his little sister, even spending time with her on a weekend, when most guys would stay home and watch TV or play on the computer, Jack was a very special guy.
When they arrived at the park Jack found a shady spot under the tree and he began to set up the picnic. Emma had brought along some toys to play with Max at the park and they took turns playing fetch with Max and then they all played some Frisbee when Max became tired and took a nap.
Maddie had gotten hungry so they all stopped to eat lunch. There were so many food that Jack’s mom had packed no one would go hungry. Emma fed Max some puppy food and when she was eating lunch Maddie asked about her school and friends she had before she moved here while they ate their lunch.
It was hard moving to a new place and to leave friends behind. Maureena was Emma‘s best friend from kindergarten and she still miss her, "Well I had a best friend named Maureena." Emma smiled at Maddie, "who’s your best friend?"
Emma thought that today was supposed to be Jack and Maddie’s day together so she sat under the shade with Max to watch them. They played with the soccer ball, Jack brought along and he was playing against Maddie. Jack’s hair was highlighted by the suns ray and it made Jack’s hair look golden, Emma stared dreamily at Jack and smiled.
Jack now had the ball and Maddie was trying to get it back. Emma saw Maddie with a mischievous grin and she tackled a very startled Jack down and started ticking him, Emma chuckled and shook her head.
"Ahhhh stop stop!" Jack said in between laughs. Then she saw Maddie getting up and she started kicking the ball towards the makeshift net they had set up. "AND SHE SHOOTS AND SHE SCORESS!!!!!" Maddie shouted.
Emma was laughing at Maddie and Jack playfully arguing with each other, "Hey! You cheated!" Jack accused, trying to look angry. Emma saw Maddie gave Jack a sweet angelic smile, "I can’t help it if you’re ticklish."
Jack burst out laughing and then Maddie joined in laughing with her brother, they’re so sweet together, Emma smiled at them. Jack suddenly turn and saw her, he then gave her a big grin.
"Who wants ice cream?" Jack asked. Maddie was waving her hand like crazy, " me! me! me! Ohhhh! I dooo! I want some!" This made Emma smile, Maddie’s so silly and energetic. Jack chuckled and asked what flavour she wanted, Maddie told him she wanted chocolate.
Then Jack turned towards Emma smiling, "how about you?" He asked. Oh Jacks so sweet but I can pay for herself, she thought. "Oh umm I can pay for myself, thanks" Emma said smiling back at Jack.
"No, let me pay for you, please?" Jack’s so kind and generous and he wanted to buy her ice cream… Jack was looking at her, smiling and Emma felt her face heating up. Emma didn’t want to make a big fuss so she agreed, "Ok, strawberry please."
Jack bought two chocolate and one strawberry ice cream, they ate it while walking home. Maddie was holding on to Max’s leash and had walked ahead of Jack and Emma.
"Ummm Jack?" Emma said softly. She wanted to tell Jack that she had a fun time today and had finally found the courage to do so.
"Yeah?" Jack looked over at her.
It’s now or never…"I.. I … had a umm a lot of fun today," she said the last part in a rush.
Jack smiled at her, and she felt her heart skip a beat, "yeah me too." Emma smiled back at him feeling really happy.
They walked Emma home and at the door she waved to them then went inside with Max.
Emma saw the flowers on the table and brought it up to her room followed closely by Max. it was a great day, Emma thought.
After today, with each minuet that she spent with him, Emma felt that she had fallen deeper in love with Jack.
