First Love Chapter 5
Emma had moved into a new town and a new school where she meets and falls in love with Jack who loves her back. ;) The title explains it all. Hope you like it :D Have fun and comments are greatly appreciated. Sorry they’re so short I try to write longer but I don’t have much time exams and essays are keeping me busy ^.^ Ty to all those who reads my story.
Jack’s POV
Jack looked over and saw his teammates, crowded around Andy and a flustered Emma. He felt his fingers digging into his palm and realized his fist was clenched tightly. Jack felt a sense of possessiveness and almost ran towards Emma but forced himself on a slow easy jog.
Jack took a long breath and exhaled, "hey Emma," she blushed and Jack felt his heartbeat increase.
"Hey," she replied softly, almost a whisper. She smiled timidly at him and Jack felt himself grinning back at her like an idiot.
The guys were talking with Andy but he hardly noticed. Emma’s deep chestnut brown hair was blown gently from her face and Jack was hit by her sea green eyes, surrounded by her long lashes. She had a dreamy and innocent look, Jack’s eyes roamed her face and noticed the rosy tint of her cheeks and the deep crimson of her lips that looked like it was bitten with nervousness.
He felt himself lean closer towards Emma, then like a blink of an eye Emma looked away. Idiot, He thought, Emma’s different from all the other girls, I have to take my time with her…
"I got to go home, can u tell Andy that?" her voice broke through his thoughts. She had already turned to go.
Jack ran towards the bleachers to get his stuff and then hastily told Andy and the guys he and Emma were going. Ignoring the catcalls from his friends he ran to catch up with Emma. "Emma wait up," he called out.
"Can I walk you home?" Jack asked smiling at her. She looks so cute when she’s blushing Jack thought to himself.
Jack watched Emma turn bright red "I- I err…" Emma smeared.
"…Sure!" Emma blurted out. Jack winked, half amused that she thought that if she didn’t answer fast enough Jack would take back the invitation.
Jack had felt an incredibly strong urge to hold Emma’s hand but he didn’t want things to move too quickly and he was scared that she would run, so he took it slow and asked about her day.
Being with her like this felt so comfortable and right. When she didn’t answer, Jack looked at her and saw that she was looking at the ground. He smiled and gently tapped her shoulder.
Emma jumped, and gave a startled yelp. Jack was holding in his laughter and saw Emma’s face turn bright red. "Sorry," Jack wanted to laugh but he knew that would embarrass her more so he held it in.
Jack suppressed his laughter by clearing his throat and when he was certain that he wasn’t going to laugh any more, he asked, "How was your day at school?"
"… it- it was alright…" Emma said softly, she was still recovering from being embarrassed.
Jack smiled at her, hhmmm I shouldn’t have startled her… but she looks so cute… Jack sighed and looked over at her; she was looking at the ground again. Jack had a crazy idea on how to get to know her better . "Emma?" Jack said softly so he wouldn’t startle her again.
Emma took a peek at Jack and realized he was looking at her so she quickly stared at the ground again. "Yeah?"
"Ummm, I was wondering, are you doing anything tomorrow?" Jack felt nervous, what if she turns me down?
"Uhhh n- no I’m not doing anything tomorrow why?" Emma said timidly.
"I was wondering if you’d like to go to the park tomorrow," Jack saw Emma hesitate, "umm I’m bringing my sister, she’s a little chatty but she’s cute and lovable."
Jack saw Emma biting her lips and he felt the urge to kiss her, "sure," she smiled shyly "I’ll bring Max too."
Jack frowned, who’s Max? Is he her boyfriend? Are they close? "Who’s Max?" Jack asked, trying to sound casual. Emma’s beautiful of course she might have a boyfriend… Jack felt a little possessive of Emma, NO she can’t have a boyfriend…Jack felt his chest tightening
"Oh, Max is my puppy, he’s very cute," Emma answered.
Jack realized he was holding his breath and he let it out slowly. "Great." Jack smiled, relieved. Emma stopped and he realized that hey were at her house, "Maddie loves puppies, me and Maddie will come here first then we can all walk to the park."
"Okay," Emma smiled.
"We’ll see you tomorrow then, bye Emma."
"Bye Jack."
Jack waved and walked towards home, thinking about all the fun they’ll have together tomorrow at the park. Jack thought of how he got jealous of Max and thought about how miserable he’d be if she had a boyfriend. He figured it out… he likes her… a lot… maybe even... love...
