Fire
Randomly started this yesterday
I awoke to a crash downstairs. The smell of smoke loomed around me. Finding it hard to breathe I decided to open my rooms window, before going downstairs to investigate.
There was bright orange flames' coming from the kitchen.
"Hello", I screamed in to the kitchen over the sounds of the burning flames. I turn and began to run up the stairs towards my parent's room. I banged on their door, trying to scream, but something muffled my screams. A hand had covered my mouth and another was around my waist. I struggled to get of the persons grasp. Something banged against my head... Then I blacked out.
Hearing some boys voices I kept my eyes closed, they were arguing about something. I was in a car with a new car smell. Suddenly the car hit a bump; I fell off whatever I was lying on.
"Oww" I moaned! Opening my eyes I saw three boys, about my age, fifth-teen.
"She's awake," one of them said. He had brown spiky hair with blue eyes and looked to be the oldest of the three boys. He reached down and pulled me up on to his lap.
"Uh, hello" I said awkwardly.
"Hi ", he said suspiciously narrowing his eyes at me.
"I'm on your lap, why?" I asked.
The car suddenly stopped before the boy could answer, I fell off his lap again.
"We're here", said the driver of the car in the front. The boy got out of the car carrying me towards a house, the other boys followed.
After entering the house the boy put me down. He whispered something to the driver he walked off the other boys followed. I was left with the driver in the huge hallway of the house. The front door opened and a chill wind swept through the hallway. I realized I was freezing; I was only wearing my Pajamas. I began shivering. Then the boys came back with an older man. "Ah Miss Ryan, so glad you could join us." the older man grabbed my arms and kissed me on both cheeks. I froze in to position, wondering why this man was Euro kissing me and why he knew my name.
"Yo...," I managed to squeak. One of the boys began to laugh pushing past the old man. He began. "You're scaring her Dad, Hi I'm Darren," he held out his hand and I shook it.
"Claire," I replied shyly. He was gorgeous, flicking his blond hair out of his blue eyes he smiled at me. "Uh could I ask what I'm doing here?" Darren mumbled something, stepping behind the old man.
"Your parents died in a fire last night, you were saved by a neighbor, I'm your father's business partner Mr Johnson, in his will he asked me to look after you. You will be living with my sons Darren, James and Eric and I from now on. I'm sorry for your loss."
I held in the tears, waiting to bed directed to my new room, to burst into hysterics on the new gigantic bed.
After hours of crying and trying to keep my self together and knock came on the door. Daren walked in.
"Are you ok?" He asked sitting on the bed.
"At this moment I don't think I even look ok!" I forced a smile.
"You looked grand" he replied, catching a tear rolling down my face, with his finger.
"Somehow I really doubt that,"
"I thought you might need a shoulder to cry on."
"Thanks, but I don't even know you..."
"You're going to have to get to know me; you're living in my house"
"I suppose," He slid nearer to me wrapping his arms around my waist. Tears poured out of my eyes again. Darren sat there rocking me, letting me drenched his shirt with my tears. I cried until no more tears came. Taking my head off Darren's' shoulder.
"Ok, I'm done now, I'm sorry," I said smiling weakly.
"You have nothing to be sorry about." he smiled and checked his watch. "It's almost dinner time, you get changed and I'll meet you outside the room in ten," Untangling his arms from my waist, he walked towards the door.
For the first time I began looking around my new room. It was at least double the size of my old one. It was painted purple, with a lilac carpet. My four-poster bed had a lilac duvet and purple pillows. There was a giant wooden window covering more than half the right wall. Outside was a gorgeous view of a large river in the middle of hundreds of green fields. Connected to my room there was an unsuited and a large walk in wardrobe. My bags were already unpacked in the wardrobe.
I quickly began to get change. I choose a track suit and my favorite hoody. Tying my hair up, I left the room. Waiting outside the room was Darren and his brothers.
"Heya, Claire, "said the boy that had carried me in to the house.
"Hi, uh...."
"It's Eric," he interrupted, holding his hand out. I shook it. "And this is James" he motioned to his other brother, who nodded quietly at me. Then I followed them toward the dining room.
