Easy Finger Food Recipes for Baby Showers
Caramel Corn
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 6 quarts popcorn (popped)
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
Take a skillet and add sugar, corn syrup, butter and salt to it. Melt all these ingredients on a medium flame. Stir all these ingredients till they dissolve. After the mixture comes to a boil, remove the skillet from the heat and add vanilla and baking soda. Then mix all the ingredients well. Take popcorn in a baking pan and pour the mixture of caramel on the popcorn and bake this popcorn at 250 degree Fahrenheit for one hour. Keep stirring after 15 minutes. After this allow the popcorn to cool and then serve.
Quesadillas
Ingredients
- 5 large tortillas
- 2 cups salsa
- 1 pack shredded cheese
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast
- 1/2 Spanish onion (sliced)
- 1 green pepper cut into strips
- Chili powder
Take a skillet and combine chicken, onions and peppers in it. After the chicken is cooked, keep it aside. Cook the peppers and onion until they become soft. Then add cheese, onions, salsa and peppers to the tortilla. For a spicy flavor, you can add chili powder. Fold the tortilla in half. Now, place this tortilla in a baking sheet. Set the temperature of the oven at 370 degree Fahrenheit. Bake the tortillas for five to six minutes and then cut them into small crisps.
Smoked Salmon Rolls
Ingredients
- 4 ounces of thinly sliced smoked salmon
- 1 bag of watercress
- Lemon wedges
- Black pepper
- 4 ounces of cream cheese (fat free)
For preparing smoked salmon rolls, spread slices of smoked rolls and apply the cream cheese to the salmon slice. Sprinkle some pepper and roll up each slice like a roll. Cut this roll into half inch slices. Chill these slices and place the rolls on a platter and garnish with watercress and lemon wedges.
Toasted Almonds
Ingredients
- 1 cup blanched almonds
- 3 tablespoons peanut oil
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Sea salt
Take a skillet and heat butter and oil and add almonds in a layer. Saute the almonds until they turn golden from all sides. Remove the slotted spoon and put them on a paper towel to drain the excess oil. Now, add some sea salt on the almonds immediately. Do this with all the almonds.
