Fine Art Reproduction Oil Painting

I’ll admit - I’m not a huge art fan, as in, I don’t go out of my way to know a lot about different painters or time periods in which art was created. However, that doesn’t mean that I don’t get goose bumps when I walk into an exhibit that displays a Da Vinci painting, such as the Mona Lisa. Most of us are inspired by greatness, regardless of where that greatness lies. Although I don’t study a lot of art history, I do know enough about the Renaissance period and the times afterwards to know that there have been some amazing and legendary works of art created by quiet men on paths to glory.

Sure, each artist has their own forte and their own style, but there is something to be said for seeing someone at the top of their game. This is why even though I’m not a huge art collector, I would love to own a painting like The Last Supper or Starry Night. Unfortunately, people like me that aren’t rich and famous or don’t live near a famous museum can’t often see or own these works of art. Originals like these, when available at auction, cost millions of dollars, which means they are out of my budget. However, there is a silver lining in this cloud, and it is reproduction oil paintings.

Where originals might be stored in a vaulted gallery, reproduction oil paintings are hand crafted oil paintings of original masterpieces that you can often buy for less than a few hundred dollars. Thanks to these dedicated artists, I can create my own gallery of masterpieces (no one will know the difference) and admire these great works of art on a daily basis. Sure, it would be nice to have the original, but being graced by a Monet or Picasso would be fantastic, even if it wasn’t the real thing. Fortunately, so much care goes into creating these reproduction oil paintings that you wouldn’t be able to tell they weren’t an original.

My family loves seeing my collection and I try to spread the joy of art as often as I can by purchasing others as gifts for my family. I’ll often buy several and see which work best in my home or office, and then give a few away to close friends. We’re talking about buying masterpieces for under one hundred bucks, which means you can afford to play around a bit. In fact, it wouldn’t hurt to keep a few in the closet so that you can rotate them from time to time, giving your home the look and feel of a gallery.

Reproduction oil paintings can take an ordinary guy like me and make an art collector out of the, so I can only imagine what they’d do for a true art lover. Do yourself a favor and check out the catalogues online, I think you’ll be happy with what you find. Be careful though, there are so many great paintings that you might want them all!
