Finding Love in Unexpected Places - Chapter Two
Thank you Audrey Mt for your lovely comment! Here comes the next part!!
"Well, how do you like our school so far?" Lyla asked as we walked to the courtyard with our lunches.
"It’s pretty cool, except for the fact that we have to wear uniforms, UGH!" I rolled my eyes as we sat down in the courtyard.
"Hello ladies, how were first classes of the day?" Adam collapsed next to me as Lunick and Tyler sat next to Lyla.
"Great!" Lyla said enthusiastically.
"They were better than the classes at my other school." I smiled at the rock star next to me.
"Oh really? Well, how about the fact that you’re going to school with a group of rock stars?" he challenged, a gleam of light hitting his eyes.
"Well, that’s a tough one." I teased and he pouted.
"It’s the best thing in the world." He mocked a random girl.
I giggled at his little joke, "That is so true. I have never met a rock star in person before."
"Well, what do you know? Maybe we ought to give her a private concert from JONAS. What do you guys think?" Adam looked at the rest of them.
"That’s a great idea! We’ll see you guys at your house tonight, okay?" Lyla slapped them high fives.
"Lyla…can I talk to you?" I pulled her away from the three boys and sat under a tree.
"What is it?" she sounded worried.
"Why tonight? I still have to unpack my stuff, remember?" I reminded her, surprised that she forgot.
"I know, but you need to hear how they sound."
"I already know how they sound."
"Yeah, but you could be a subject of a new song." Lyla smiled as I rolled my eyes.
"Well, girls, we have to get back to class. Megan, what class do you have next?" Adam looked at my schedule. "You have Choir next?"
"Yeah, I’m a choir girl." I looked away in embarrassment.
"Hey, I’m in that class, too. It’s not your ordinary choir though."
"Yeah, I can only imagine."
We walked to the class and he held the door open for me.
"Thanks." I handed the teacher the sheet and she paired me up with Adam.
"Show us what you’ve got by singing with the best singer in the Pop Choir." The teacher smiled and walked away.
"Let’s hear your voice, then." Adam’s eyes sparkled as he said that.
I started to sing a song by JONAS and he smiled.
"So, what did you think?" I was really nervous to find out about his judgment.
"That was actually really good. Was that a JONAS original?" he teased.
"Yeah, how’d you guess?" I smiled and he laughed, causing the teacher to come over to where we were.
"So, how is she, Adam?" the teacher smiled in my direction.
"She’d be an amazing addition!" Adam put his arm around my shoulder.
Then, the bell rang and the school day ended.
‘The day went by in such a blur.’ I thought as I walked out to Lyla’s car.
I settled in Lyla’s car and we were off to the Lucas house.
