Finding Cool Baby Clothes: It's Easier Than You Think
Not all baby clothes are created equally. Some have baseballs and some have skulls. Finding cool baby clothes that match your personality is getting easier.
If you've had a baby recently there are so many things that you have to think about and pay attention to. However, one of the things you shouldn't have to worry over is what your new bundle of joy is going to wear. The good news is that there are all kinds of baby clothes out there. The bad news is that most of them are, well…boring. There's nothing really wrong with them, but your baby will look like all the other babies. Want something different? You need cool baby clothes. You can get, them, too, but you have to know where to look.
Your opinion of what's cool and what isn't is important, of course, but most people know cool when they see it. It's one of those ingrained things that you really just can't ignore. If you want cool baby clothes you'll be looking for things that jump out at you, things that catch your attention. Pink and blue are standard for babies, and yellow is popular, too. Just because most babies wear those colors doesn't mean that your baby has to. He or she can wear black, white, neon colors, or something bold. It's not just the colors, either, as there are a lot of designs for your cool baby clothes.
You might not want the standard baseball motif for boys, and if you have a girl you might not feel like buying her something covered with hearts and butterflies and flowers. There's nothing wrong with any of those, but what about skulls and electric guitars and punk rock symbols? Try finding those at your local retail chain store. Good luck with that. Most stores don't carry those kinds of things because they're not 'mainstream.' But what's mainstream and what's not is changing as the culture changes.
It's becoming more common to see people with a 'punk' look - odd hair colors, piercings, and a large assortment of tattoos. They don't look like the kinds of people who want boring, dated baby clothes. If you don't fit into that category, though, don't feel like looking what society considers to be normal requires you to buy normal things. What is normal for you might not be anything close to normal for other people, and you shouldn't be concerned about that. Don't pay a lot of attention to the people who think that you're a bad parent because your adorable little girl is wearing a black t-shirt with a skull and crossbones on it. It doesn't make you a bad parent. It just means you like your baby to look cool.
Years ago people looked down on 'hippie' parents, now they look down on parents with tattoos or other unique looks, as an assumption that they can't raise their children right. You'll prove them wrong when your happy, healthy little child shows up with good manners, a sunny disposition, and a punk rock t-shirt. It won't be boring, and with the way that things are changing and the popularity of cool baby clothes, your daughter or son won't be the only one wearing great-looking and great-wearing clothes that are not dated and boring. Even where baby clothes are concerned, it's important to move with the times and keep your pride and joy looking and feeling happy.
