Square footage is one thing, but how about the amenities. You will need to decide if these extras are important to you. Some people recommend driving around. That is really a huge waste of time unless the apartment is off of a major highway or intersection. Always look for the new construction properties. They will usually offer the best incentives. But they will be more expensive than an older property. They will usually give you one or two months free.
