Find out how ads for credit cards made their companies over 18...

How come the creditors make so much money
Last year the credit card companies earned a mind numbing 18 billion dollars in penalty fees alone. As of last year the normal U.S. family carries credit card debts of over $9,000 and ends up paying over $1,200 a year in interest. The credit card companies have debtors stuck paying merely minimum payments, which will take people forever to eventually paydown all the while paying out thousands in interest. One major reason they have experienced such success earning such gigantic sums of profit is the creative and subliminal advertising they engage in. It seems as if you cannot go through a series of commercials without experiencing some level of advertisement by the credit card companies.

People who watch any level of TV should be familiar with some of these advertisements. Like the Capital One chain of commercials utilizing the saying 'what's in your wallet'. One such commercial shows a family vacationing with a tribe in the jungle, because they did'nt have the miles on their card to go elsewhere. There are always the Chase ads, for the toted Chase Freedom card. How misleading is that advertising becoming financially free. Ask everybody who is stuck in credit card debt can attest that it is anything but freedom. One of my all time favorites is the Visa advertisement where everyone is making purchases on credit, and then somebody pays cash the music ceases to play along with the rest of the store. All of these commercials are driven at one thing and that is to get people hooked on using credit for everything. In return having to pay out interest for everything they purchase.

For some their financial situation has gotten outstandingly poor to the point where they are looking for a credit card payoff strategy. A few of the popular systems for debt relief are CCCS and credit debt settlement. Credit counseling is a full repayment process that can consolidate monthly payments into one and lower the APR. Then there is debt settlement which is for debtors who have gotten themselves in debt to the point where paying back in full will be close to impossible. This system of settlement can on average save debtors up to 50% of what they owe and have them become debt free within three years or less. Whatever route you take to become debt free one thing should be learned. That is not to fall for their deceptive commercials and fall back in credit card debt again.
