Fifth September

Kids decided to do something very different.
They shed the uniforms and dressed colored.
Uniforms were borrowed by a bunch.
To who was it hired, no one had a hunch.
The cat clawed out of the bag.
Few mouths escaped from gag.
They were the five year olds and younger.
Tiny tots couldn’t keep the secret any longer.
Beans were spilled to their mother.
Moms’ requests melted hearts of these!
Parents’ eyes widened in surprise.
In the uniforms were teachers.
Lessons were taught by their protégés!!
Behind glasses were those mischievous eyes.
Naughtiness peeped from their disguise.
This novel experience thrilled the students.
Teachers were impressed with their diligence.
Children had put in lots of hard work.
Their sweat glistened in their presentation and joint effort.
This was not a mockery or imitation.
It was a sincere emulation.
Fifth day of September was celebrated with a difference.
Teachers were felicitated in students’ conference!!!
