There were a few more warm up games played over the last couple of days. Germany got some good practice in which they trashed an under 20 side 24:0. But the main aim of the German coach was to finalize tactics and make all his players get a kick. He used as many as 20 of his players in the game. Elsewhere in Germany, an understrength Netherlands side went on to beat Mexico 2:1. It was an important game for the Netherlands as Robin van Persie returned to international football after 6 months and scored both the goals for his team in the first half itself. France tried out a new attacking formation and Mathieu Valbuena scored in his international debut as they beat Costa Rica 2:1. In Aalborg, Denmark overcame Senegal 2:0 in a friendly match. In an England Japan match, Japan went into the lead, but only handed the game to England by 2 self goals. England went on to win 2:1, and will be hoping they don't need such kind of gifts in the world cup to progress ahead. And finally, in Budapest, Germany trounced Hungary 3:0 and looks like the team to beat in the FIFA World Cup 2010.
