FIFA World Cup 2010 Standings: Day 8

The FIFA World Cup 2010 witnessed its 3rd upset when Serbia defeated powerhouse Germany to turn their group on its head...
Germany were humbled by Serbia in what could be considered the biggest upset of the FIFA World Cup 2010 so far. In other games, the United States held Slovenia to a draw, and England were also held to a goalless draw by Algeria.

United States 2 Slovenia 2 (Group C)
The United States came back from a 2 goal deficit to draw with Slovenia in a match in which fortunes fluctuated. But the US will be disappointed that a 3rd goal that they scored was not allowed due to some controversial and unexplained foul call by the referee. In fact, they even went on to say that the goal was stolen from them.

England 0 Algeria 0 (Group C)
Fabio Capello's side just can't get it right, even with all the big names in the side. A draw with Algeria means that group leaders Slovenia need to lose their next game, and England need to win, for them to go ahead.

Serbia 1 Germany 0 (Group D)
In a shocker, Serbia got the better of a 10-man German side, causing the biggest upset of the tournament so far. Klose was sent off and the Germans will feel that this was a major factor in the end result.
