Portugal 0 Brazil 0 (Group G)
Both teams played out an uneventful draw and ensured that both went through to the next round. Brazil topped the group and will clash with Chile in the next round. Portugal will be playing Spain who have also gone through.
Korea DPR 0 Ivory Coast 3 (Group G)
Ivory Coast trashed Korea DPR 3 to nothing, but even then both teams failed to qualify. Ivory Coast finished 3rd in this group, while Korea DPR finished the tournament with an all loss record.
Spain 2 Chile 1 (Group H)
Spain got the better of Chile 2-1. The result saw both teams going through to the next round. Spain will take on Portugal in the round of 16, while Chile will clash with the much fancied Brazilians for a place in the quarterfinals.
Switzerland 0 Honduras 0 (Group H)
Switzerland needed a win here to have a chance of going through to the round of 16. They tried everything possible but had to settle for a goalless draw with Honduras. Thus, both teams were knocked out of the tournament in the first round itself.
