How fast a teenager changes her affections.....
Susan sighed. Her best friend’s latest boyfriend had broken up with her….she wondered how long would she take to recover. Angie met her in the 4th corridor. She said "Hey, Susan, did you hear the latest break up???"
"Oh yeah…..how long do you think she will take to recover????"
"Well…..lets see….2 weeks????"
"2 weeks??? That’s too long…one week???"
"One week???......noooo that’s too much….half a week should be enough"
"Why soo long….2 days…"
"2 hours….."
"2 minutes……"
"No that is too short even by her standards!!!!!!!!!!"
The two girls burst out laughing but stopped immediately as the topic of their discussion walked towards them with swollen eyes. The three girls made their way to the usual place where they ate their food. That is, Angie and Susan tried to without seeming to be unsympathetic. Their companion had no appetite. She cried stormily for about 15 minutes on Angie’s shoulder while they tried to comfort her. Then …
"I loved him so much. I had never felt about anyone that way before. We were together for three weeks….Ok I won’t pretend I wasn’t not expecting this but…."
More crying
"We could have tried but –hic- he did not even try –hic- he was so sweet –hic- I hate him"
More crying
"I loved him –hic- I won’t ever look at him – hic- but …"
Now the sobs start to cease. Angie and Susan see that comfort is no longer needed and hastily start to gobble down their sandwiches.
"I wont ever forget him…but actually I was going to tell him to end it anyways…."
"Yes we know, last two days you have been telling us that"
"I will find someone better"
"You always say that"
Fixing her gaze at some point…. "Hey girls. Do look at that guy … He is sooo cute….And he is looking towards me soo shyly….Angie, is my hair in place???.. he is my class.....am I looking okay .."
Angie whispered to Susan….." well….she is on her road to recovery…and the journeys over tooo!!!!"
Susan smiled " But will she ever settle down????"
"Well….only time will tell"
