Fence Design Plans

Plans for fence designs are easily available on the Internet these days. Otherwise, you can actually go to a shop and check them out. But before that, maybe, you can see if this article helps.
Thanks to the media, or rather to be specific, the paparazzi, we get information about where and how the celebrities live - in huge villas and bungalows or they even buy their own islands! How fabulous is that! Their houses are very much inaccessible, and it would not be wrong if they are called a fortresses. Big fences, huge, tall walls is a common feature of the residences of these not-so-common people. But who said only these 'stars' can have privacy fences and wall around their residences? Mere mortals too, are entitled to protect their privacy and their property. That is why we have fences and hedges around our houses, to keep noise, over-inquisitive neighbors and other unwanted elements at bay.

Privacy Fence Designs

Plan 1
Well, then, we start off with wood lattice and vines. The lattice provides support for the vines and this type of fence gives an overall natural look as well as helps you maintain your privacy. It is cheaper than traditional wood picket fencing, but obviously not as sturdy as solid wood fencing. If it is a flowering wine, then it is bound to look even better and beautiful. If there is something which is spoiling the look of your yard, these vines, if planted around or near the concerned area, can cover those features.

Plan 2
Well, if lattice is a bit too jazzy for you, or you want something sturdy as far as privacy fences are concerned, then this is for you. This fence design plan is a modified stockade fence. I mentioned about a fortress earlier, the look of this fence is almost like that. Its construction plan is as usual like a stockade board fence. The difference is the height of the 3 boards nearest to each post. Two boards closes to the post are of the same height, with the third one stepping halfway down to the height of the main fence. Actually for designs like these, there are no specific measurements of the boards. It is decided on the basis of what suits the overall setting.

Plan 3
Hedges! Oh how I love them! Yes, hedging is another fence design idea you can consider. Although it would not be a conventional 'fence', but it will be a privacy screen nevertheless. There are many shrubs and evergreen hedge plants you can use for planting as hedges. Although taking care of plants, when they are used in hedges, is a bit of a hassle. But it looks absolutely amazing, if done well.

Plan 4
Another wooden design plans for fences is to have an interwoven fencing. It looks great, with strips of wood interwoven with each other. If supported and built well, it can turn out to be a really strong fence. One more design amongst privacy fence plans is trellis fencing. Trellis fencing is cheap and it basically suits a scenario where there are creepers and climbers and they need a solid support. It can complement a sturdy fence design plan, by helping cover anything unsightly in the yard or patio.

Plan 5
This plan exudes nothing but durability and strength. Thanks to technology, these days you can have a chain link or mesh netting. The best of them are intensively galvanized and strengthened to bear the weather changes. If you are considering a small fence for garden fence designs, a wire mesh will be great. If you don't like the metallic look, a recent modification is a plastic coating to the chain link over the galvanized wire. There are available in different colors too.

This was just a teaser. If you go to a concerned shop, you would definitely find many more design plans! For instance, a rustic fencing plan, constructed using larch or pine wood of circular section. Or you can also combine the natural with the man-made. A wooden picket fence, supported by bricks with regards to privacy fences.

I guess, this was good enough for the time being! Till then, it is ciao from me!
