Felony

Felony in the countries with common law is defined as a hideous crime. A person who is convicted for crimes like, burglary, rape, vandalism, grand theft, illegal drugs, etc is punished by the Federal government by either imprisonment or death. Such people are called felons and the crime is called felony crime.
