Feelings Revealed
Inspired by a previous relationship with someone who said one thing but did another.
Outspoken, broken, shattered as a child
Taking no bull, unharmed yet mild
Disillusioned by just a smile
Deceived into believing that I could have your heart
But I realize that your motives were far from what I thought
Loosed from the pain and freed from distress
Learning that through Jesus I overcome and that I can get through this
It's in Him that I rest
I'm not giving up nor have I ever
Might've gotten tired, worn down but whatever
I've found the strength and will to go on
Be strong and with the help of Christ 'weather the storm.'
