However, there are symptoms which may accompany fatigue, and just for the record we will regard them as fatigue symptoms in this article. Exhaustion and fatigue is one of the most common problems faced by all. Among working people, it is a normal part of everyday life. After having worked for the entire day, experiencing fatigue is completely normal. All that is needed is rest and nutritious food to deal with everyday fatigue. However, in some people, fatigue is just more than a concern, if its starts occurring persistently and for no apparent reason. This could be a case of chronic fatigue, and it is this which indicates the development of some other medical condition in the body.

Symptoms that Accompany Fatigue

The symptoms which may accompany the feeling of being fatigued include being always tired, exhaustion and a feeling of being washed out. Symptoms that may occur during pregnancy, apart from all these, could be experiencing a feeling of being passed out, which may be accompanied by irregular and rapid heartbeat. Some people may also described the feeling of being fatigued as vertigo.

Other symptoms include dizziness and shortness of breath. All these signs, if they have a persisting and frequently occurring nature, then they may be indicative of he condition called chronic fatigue syndrome (refers to extreme fatigue).

What Causes Fatigue?

Causes of fatigue which have been identified by experts are associated to people's lifestyle, psychological factors and medical conditions. People who have a sedentary lifestyle or improper eating habits, tend to be have more episodes of chronic fatigue. Certain medications such as those which are used for high blood pressure, depression, etc., also cause fatigue as one of their side effects. Elements causing stress or depression in one's life, and even grief could also cause the same. Coming to medical ailments, the common ones which are known to cause extreme fatigue are anemia, heart diseases, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, cancer, obesity, diabetes, emphysema and a condition known as chronic fatigue syndrome. Failure of the kidneys, sleep apnea, restless leg syndrome, liver failure, could also cause fatigue.

For causes like overexertion, rest and healthy food are enough to deal with the condition. For the chronic fatigue, the underlying conditions are detected and treated accordingly. For instance, if sleep apnea is a cause, then the patients would be given medications to deal with the condition. And once it resolves, fatigue would resolve on its own. Likewise, affected people might be given antibiotics for infection, vitamins for nutritional deficiency, medications for blood sugar, iron supplements for anemia, etc.
