Father of Jamie Lynn Spears’ Child Out of Intensive Care

Casey Aldridge, baby daddy to Jamie Lynn Spears’ daughter Maddie, left the intensive care unit yesterday and, by all accounts, appears to be doing just fine.
Casey Aldridge, the father of Jamie Lynn Spears’ 10-month-old daughter Maddie, was moved from the intensive care unit at the University of Mississippi Medical Center yesterday, where he originally landed on Sunday after he lost control of the truck he was driving and it flipped. The accident caused a rather severe head injury that had Spears and her family worried about the health of Jamie’s baby daddy. The Reverend Odus Jackson, uncle to the young father, noted that Aldridge is doing well. Said Jackson, "It was a big scare there for a moment, but he got moved out of ICU and is doing good."

Aldridge was driving several friends through the rural Tensas Parish in Louisiana when he lost control of his pickup truck. There is no suspicion by police that Aldridge was under the influence of alcohol or drugs, though Aldridge has been cited in the past for careless driving. Despite three of the four passengers in the truck not wearing seatbelts, all of them emerged unscathed except Aldridge himself. Said his uncle, "I think he cut off the edge of the road, corrected and it flipped. It didn’t turn out to be a big scare, or as big as we thought. I was scary there at first, but now we are in good shape."

Spears, who is best known for being the younger sister of Britney Spears and for thwarting her mother’s attempt at publishing a book on parenting by getting pregnant at the age of 16, is standing by Aldridge through thick and thin, staying with him as he recuperates in the ICU and praying for him daily.
