Fated~~Chapter 1

Second story...
"Thanks so much mom and dad! You guys are the best!" I exclaimed, jumping up and down.

"You're welcome honey. Anything to make you happy. And besides, this is a rare opportunity. It's a good chance for you to open your eyes, and see different things." My parents smiled to me, warmly. I gave them both a big hug and kiss on the cheek. Then, I went to my room to call Maggie.

"OMG, Mag. Guess what?" I asked her.

"You're coming!" She screamed on the other side of the phone.

"Yes!" I screamed even louder.

"Here you go, Mrs. Snow." I handed the money to the Senior Coordinator. I can't wait any longer, even though it's only a week away.

"I am glad you're coming along with us, Ms. Valentine." Mrs. Snow took the money gently and wrote me a receipt. I nodded my head slightly. Mrs. Snow instructed me to go to Mr. Hernandez to fill out some paperwork and some other stuff. I skipped my way to Mr. Hernandez's office. I guess I was too happy that I didn't notice someone coming my way. I bumped into that person.

"Ouch!" I cried in agony. My butt hurts! I looked up, but couldn't see who it was because my eyes are blurred by tears.

"Are you alright?" An unfamiliar voice asked. The person reached out his hand. I took the hand. I can feel the person's warm and strong muscular hand.

"Sorry, I am Alvin by the way." Alvin introduced. I took his hand and shook it. Before me stood a guy a little taller than me. He has a nice tan skin color. His hair color's the same color as the sun. Maybe a little darker. The tight-fitting shirt brought out his nice built body.

"It's okay. I was overjoyed. My name's..." The announcement suddenly came up and it blocked Alvin's hearing.

"Sorry, but I gotta go. Nice to meet you Alvin, see ya later!!" My heart beat's beating faster than ever. Don't get me wrong, my heart's not beating for him. It's just that I am running really fast right now.

"Okay, you're all set!" Mr. Hernandez said. I am ecstatic right now. I thanked Mr. Hernandez and walked out his office.

"Hey you with the pink shirt!" A female voice called out. I knew exactly who it is. I turned around and ran to Maggie.

"Okay, okay. I can't breathe. Let go of me." Maggie begged. I let go of her because I don't want to choke my best friend! "I still can't believe your parents let you do this!" She continued.

"Neither can I!" I said. Jumping up and down all over again. We walked down the hallway, holding each other's arms, discussing the things we could do, hot guys we would meet...

Maggie and I parted ways for we do not have the same schedule. I headed toward the cafeteria and Maggie went to her chemistry class. I held my books tightly and walked with my head down. The hallway is now as quiet as the late night forest. I could hear my own heartbeat and footsteps. Then, I heard more footsteps walking down the hallway. I dare not to look up to face my greatest fear. Everyone has weaknesses and I am not excluded. My greatest fear in school was the 'Hot Girls.' Well, at least that's what everyone calls them. It's a group made out of three most "popular" girls in my high school. When I say 'popular,' I mean physically popular. I wouldn't call them hot. The reason why everyone calls them hot was probably that they have attractive physical appearances. I admit that I am nothing compared to them, and I would never compare myself to them. They're hot in a bad way. I am totally fine with my appearance, and since I am not looking for a boyfriend or someone to spend time with, I don't need to dress up like the 'Hot Girls' do.

The leader in that group is named, Stephanee. She always has something pink on. She believed that she appears hotter with some pink on. I hated that color so much. It used to be my favorite color, but ever since I saw her wear it, I start disliking it. It hurts my eyes by just looking at it. Her flamboyant clothing is just not my type. Next in line is Cristie. If you've been in the school for as long as I have, you would be able to recognize her from a far distance on a street. She always has those hectic, standing-out red lip stick on, making her lips look like huge pig noses. Just go online and search 'huge lips' and you'd know what I am talking about. Oh, and her eye color changes every hour. I sometimes wonder how many eye contacts she has in her monkey print purse. Last in the group is Georgie. She's the youngest in the group. Don't let her innocent face and childish ponytail fool you, because she's the worst of them all. Even she doesn't know how many guys she had slept with. I heard rumors saying that at night, she would go to random houses and grab guys. Later, she would hypnotize them and drag them into a forest and seduce them. Like I said, they're rumors and only she knows the truth. Every time I see her, I get chills down my spine and shiver.

The three figures come closer and closer toward me. I can feel my hands and my forehead sweating. Please don't let it happen again, please, please. I said quietly in my mind. History repeats itself and I feel something hitting my left shoulder.

"Move out of the way you little brat!" Stephanee's sharp, chicken voice screamed through my ear. I couldn't balance myself from the collision. I eventually fell to the floor. I was shocked and I dropped my textbooks before I hit the floor, which hit Cristie's foot. Again.

"What the hell?! Don't you have eyes? Can't you see that we're walking down the hallway? Don't you have freaking hands to hold your books?" Her voice's not as sharp as Stephanee's, but it still aches my ear. I fought to hold back my tears. I can't show my fear toward them.

"I am sorry." I apologized. Hoping they would leave me alone. But no, they just like to pick on me. I wish I could just find a hole in the ground and hide in it.

"Sorry? Is that it?" Stephanee once again yelled. "Look at me when I am talking to you! Don't you have manners?" She continued. I wanted so much to fight back and say of course I have manners. It's you that don't have manners. But I know that I couldn't. I would cause a fight and get sent to the office. I don't want that. It's the last year of high school and I can't afford to leave a record in my profile. I remained silent. I obeyed her and looked into her eyes. Though I couldn't see her clearly. You might probably know why.

"Come on chicks, let's go! I still gotta meet someone." I heard Georgie whined. "Yes," I said to myself. "Please leave."

"You're lucky this time but you won't be so fortunate next time. Just clear out path when we walk in the hallway. Do you understand?" Cristie demanded.

I nodded my head and they left. I can hear them curse at me, but I didn't care. I just wanted them to stay away from me. I looked at my foot-printed textbooks. I let a tear roll down my cheek and I quickly wipe it with my sleeve. My papers are scattered everywhere. I helped myself up and picked the papers up one by one. To my surprise, I see another person helping me picking the papers. I lifted my head to look who it is.

"Alvin?" I managed to say his name in a normal voice.

Hey readers, so as you can see, I am starting a second story. I've been trying to post the second chapter of my other story, "A Thousand Stairs" but it just won't go through. There's nothing inappropriate in it, so I don't know the reason why it won't post. But anyway, this is my other story and please tell me what you think!
Do you want me to continue?
Yes, please!
No, please don't!
