Fate - Ch. 6

Korey and Rosie gets to Dark City...
Night came swiftly and Korey is almost to Dark City. He can feel Thomas's presence near, almost touching. He glanced out the window, saw darkness, then checked on Rosie.
She's asleep on the backseats, looking as beautiful as ever. The pink covers that was in the van before they stole it was wrapped around her snugly.
Korey just stared and let out a huge breath. Shaking out images what he wanted to do with her far away from his mind.
"Mmm, Korey," Rosie softly muttered.
"Go back to sleep," Korey declared.

Rosie opened her eyes to complete darkness. She pulled the covers around her body, and walked up to the passenger seat.
"You should sleep," Korey insisted.
"I can't. You felt lonely."
Korey sighed and kept driving. He's trying to keep his mind closed.
"Korey," her hand touched his hand, "I'll always help you the best I can do. I don't want you to feel horrible about me, so; I'll just shut up."
He growled at himself and then stomped on the brakes. Rosie grabbed ahold of the arm rests quickly.

"Rosie, no. I don't feel horrible about you. For the past five years, it seemed like I became closer and closer to you. It has been a struggle to not touch you, nut I have enough self-control to do so. I care far enough about you, that if I would ever see you die, I will die beside you because I love you."
Rosie's hands lightened off the arm rests, and Korey grabbed her hand. She stared at him while he gently placed a hand on her face.
"You do actually love me?" she whispered.
"Yes, I always been with you through your break-up, exhausting homework, even parent fights. I truly love you, even though you're human."

Rosie started to cry. She grabbed the hand on her face and held it tight.
"I didn't mean to make you cry," he moaned.
Rosie sniffled, "no, I'm just happy." Then she gave Korey a huge hug.
Korey smirked, happy enough to get this close to her. The smell of her skin is so tempting to sink his teeth in, but he refused to.
Rosie let go and snuggled into the seat, "are we almost there?"
"Yes, maybe five minutes," Korey smoothly said.
Korey put it in gear and started to drive off. It seems like time moved way slower when they never talk.
They reached the back of the town, no lights whatsoever. The buildings seemed bricked and scary. Then Korey stopped in front of a black door.
"Rosie; don't be afraid of these people. They are, in fact, vampires like me, but they are friendly," Korey whispered.

"Don't worry about me," Rosie muttered.
He rolled his eyes and got out of the can, then helping Rosie out too. They walked to the door and Korey opened it.
The smell is odd, like powder like air. Rosie glanced around and heard a baby cry.
"Good grief," some guy grumbled. "Here's round two."
Suddenly a man flew around the corner and bumped into Rosie; both falling onto the ground.
"What the fuc...Oh, Korey? You're already here. Oh, I'm so sorry about bumping you," the guy got up and helped her up. "You're Rosie, man you seem really nice for someone to hang out with my trouble making cousin."
Rosie was pulled up off her butt and her feet touched solid ground. "He's no trouble at all, he's quite the person," Rosie smiled.
"Yes, Thomas," Korey smirked.

"You, shut up. I need to get things for Eve," then Thomas walked away.
Korey grabbed Rosie's arm and headed to the other room beside them. A burnette with dark blue eyes held a child tightly against her chest. The child is cradled in her arms; her skin very pale, her hair is like black angel hair spegetti, and her eyes are all teared up with a light blue.
"Hello, Korey. I haven't seen you in months, this is Eve. Say hello Eve," the lady said.
Eve stopped crying and stared at Rosie. Her arms reaching out towards Rosie.
"Hey, Erika. I think Eve likes Rosie," Korey chuckled.
"Do you want to hold her? This is the first she'd stop crying in awhile."
"No, I don't want her attached to me," Rosie whispered and then Eve started to cry again. "Fine. I'll hold her."

Erika walked over and gave Eve up to Rosie. The baby cradled in her arms and then snuggled up against her chest.
"Aww, this is wonderful! Eve absolutely loves you. Would you consider being her babysitter?"
"Yes. We would be delighted," Korey smiled.
Thomas rushed in to silence. He stared at Rosie and Eve with delight.
"My God. She loves that girl. I hate to admit to this, but Korey, you picked a good one," Thomas laughed.
"Thomas, I was talking to Rosie about being our babysitter. They agreed, so do you want to do anything tonight?"
"We can go to breakfast then have fun."

Korey walked up to the couple and smiled, "Go have fun, we'll watch the house and child."
"Thanks, our phone number you know, and be sure everything is safe," Erika said.
"And no horseplay, or else Korey," Thomas sternly said.
"I'll be fine, go..." Korey pushed them until they were out the door. "so, Rosie..."
"Shh, Eve's asleep," Rosie whispered.
Eve is soft asleep in Rosie's arms. She alerted to walk out of the room, but didn't know where to go.
"I'll show you her's and our's rooms," Korey said and guided Rosie to the bedrooms.
