Fate - Ch. 5

Korey becomes in trouble; Rosie meets someone special...
Rosie stretched and slowly opened her eyes to the sunlight's rays. She sat up and saw Korey laying in bed, sleeping.
I should leave, then Rosie slowly got up and slowly walked to the door. She grabbed the door handle and suddenly she was lifted in the air.
"Let me down! I was going to get breakfast."
"We need to be going," he demanded.
"How long can you survive without food?" Rosie asked.
"A long time, it doesn't matter."
"It doesn't for you, me, on the other hand, it does."
Korey heavily sighed, "alright," and he let her down.
"Thanks," Rosie muttered.

Korey shut the door and walked down the hall with Rosie beside him.
"Sleep well?" Korey randomly asked.
Rosie kept walking, trying to ignore the question.
"Mad at me," he sighed.
"No," she swiftly said.
They exited the hotel, and started to walk down the sidewalk. The locals of the small town stared at Korey and Rosie oddly.
"Korey, why are they staring at us?" she whispered.
"I don't know, they don't look friendly."
An elderly guy came waddling over and stopped in front of them.

"Get out of this town, demaon, and you too, betrayer," his voice cracked.
"Wha? We have every right to be here," Rosie declared.
"No you don't," and the old guy pulled out a very long, silver dagger. "Get out, now!"
Korey pulled Rosie away from the man, and glared.
"Fine. We'll leave," Korey muttered and quickly walked around him.
They ran out of the town and stopped for a breather. A town so vicioius shouldn't exist.
"Where are we going exactly?"
Korey looked down the road and sighed, "My cousin's place. I need a car, a storm is coming. I can feel it."
"How are we suppose to get a car?"
Korey then looked the other way, "Rosie, I'll be back, but I don't know when. Please stay here, and avoid trouble."
"Alright," Rosie said. "Then hurry, I don't want to be food for someone."
Korey grabbed her hand and smiled, "Don't worry, you're safe here," and he ran off.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The air still cold, the snow lightly came down on Rosie. She sat down on a rock, waiting for Korey to come back with something; preferably something warm.
The wind gradually picked up, and Rosie cuddled herself into a ball to keep her body heat. Then she started to remember her dream from the previous night.
"Man, I can't be falling for him. We're different, and would make things complicated," she muttered, then took a look at her hand. Pulling the cloth away and started to heal up quickly. "But he cares for me. He fixes my cuts and he protects me from werewolves, which no other man can do," and Rosie hissed at herself.
The snow got heavier and Rosie retreated under a big Hemlock tree. She curled around the base of the tree and heavily sighed.
"Rosie," echoed a voice.
She jerked her head up and looked around, seeing no one around.
Suddenly a faint image appeared in front of her; a tall, blond hair man with dark eyes stopped feet away from her.
"Sorry, you don't know me but you should go back to town," his voice so soft and gentle, but also urgent.
"Korey told me to stay here," she strongly said.
"Fine, I'll tell you something. Five years ago, you fell apond some wolves, and found the Night's graves. I'm Ian, I'm stuck in the spiritual relm, and I'm helping you and my cousin out! Korey is overly protective and he has loads of pride. He's in trouble, and if he fall, you will fall with him," he sternly said.
"How will I..."
"The wolves will get you. You'd have no chance of running from them. Your's and Korey's fate has been intertwined. This is for yours and Korey's safety. I want to see you two safe," and Ian disappeared.
Rosie couldn't believe what she said, hallucinations? She shook her head and sighed. Her heart started to pump so hard, that she thinks, and feels, like everything Ian said is true.
So she quickly got up and rushed to the town. Pushing her running limit, sweat poured off of her head. The cold, snowy weather is nothing compared to her body heat.
After ten minutes of running, she entered the town, and saw mobs everywhere; torches, pitchforks, and all.
"No!" she loudly said and started to search for Korey.
Everything was out of order, like mayhem. Cars flipped over, and buildings destroyed.
Rosie ran down the street and started to feel Korey's essence. She turned down the ally and spotted him.
"Korey!" she shouted and ran towards him.
"Rosie? I told you to stay."
"Ian told me things, and told me to help you because bad things are going to happen," she murmured.
"Ian? Oh, we'll talk later. Lets find a car and get going."
Korey walked out of the ally and looked for a vehicle. Then he spotted a huge van, old enough to hot wire it.
"Rosie, see that van," he pointed to the rusty blue van with dinged up venders, "run to it."
They ran swift to the van, and Korey looked at the wiring and it automatically started.
Korey jumped in and shifted gears. The old, metal thing speeding down the road, out of town.
"So, Ian," Korey started.
"He's a spirit. He came to me and talked about how our fates are intertwined together," she blurted out.
"You know I care for you," he strongly said. "No werewolf won't get near you," then his eyes met her's.
"I know. I'm actually starting to like you. How you always rescuing me, seems hot," she smiled.
"At least you're not afraid of me. Now, I can get somewhere."
Rosie looked up to Korey and sighed. Fat brought her something good, and she'll never let him slip away.
