Fate - Ch.12

Michaels threatens them...
Rosie woke up with Korey breathing down her neck. She cupped his head, so she can slide right out.
She searched for clothes to wear, putting on pants and a snug t-shirt to wear. The door bell rang and then a scream pierced the air.
Rosie ran towards the bedroom door and Korey grabbed her.
"What's going on?" Rosie whined.
Korey's fingers locked the door and he forced her away. He found pants laying around, and he quickly got them on.
"Smells like a werewolf, and he means business. I need to get you out of here."
"I thought I was safe!" she moaned.
"I thought so, too, but they must be pissed."
Suddenly the door cracked and Rosie choked back a scream. The crack became bigger and bigger until a body entered the room.
"So, I found you. Just come to me and everything will be fine," the slim guy demanded.
"No, Rosie. Stay where you are," Korey declared.
"What's sad is when a vampire loves a human. It's basically free food. And you, are no different."
Korey pulled out a pocket knife and he growled, "leave now!"

Rosie's heart raced, this guy wants to kill her, but Korey's anger and protective feelings flowed through her.
Then the guy started to laugh, "don't tell me, you're the next Night for leadership. I can hear it in your voice."
"So what, I may not take it," Korey growled.
"The hell you are. She's your territory, I can smell it. I'm the best vampire assassin around."
Korey sniffened up and he slowly backed away. Then Rosie's hand grabbed his hand.
"You're Michael!" he studdered.
"Heh, you know about me. I bet you I get a bonus by killing you," then he ran towards them.
Korey's grip tightened as they ran on the balcony, feeling the air hit them.
"Rosie, just trust me," Korey quickly said.
Her legs still weak from the night before, and she spotted an edge. She took a peek behind her and saw a wild werewolf chasing them.
"I trust you," Rosie cried out.
Korey grabbed ahold of Rosie, and jumped off the edge. The jump was so strong that Korey landed on the other roof. The he stopped and turned around.
The werewolf stopped and glanced down the edge.
"You jump really far. That had to be at least eight hundred feet," Rosie said.
"Yeah, about eight hundred, but the werewolf can't get over."

The werewolf stared at Korey and Rosie with disgust, and then started to walk away. They can hear grunts and growls.
"How are we suppose to get down?" Rosie asked.
"Jump; here, hold on tight," then Rosie grabbed Korey tightly and they jumped.
The building has fifty stories and the air is cold. Korey tightened his grip before he landed. The landing was smooth and perfect.
"Wow, landed on your feet," Rosie smiled.
"Vampires have perfect balance. We're not safe in the city. I guess my parents house would be the next best choice, but they live five hours away," Korey sighed.
Rosie looked around, observing her surroundings, and nothing could help them out. Then she spotted something in the distance.
"Korey, what's that?" Rosie whispered.
Korey's head flew in the direction Rosie whispered.
"It's a car. Stay in the shadows, Rosie," Korey harshly whispered.
She backed into the ally and watched Korey's back. The car got closer and closer until it came by and stopped.
"Korey!" Thomas shouted. "We're leaving, come with us."
Rosie came out of the shadows and walked towards Korey.
"We need to run, Rosie. If we keep moving, Michael may lose your scent."
"Korey, werewolves as I seen are like pit bulls. Once they taste blood, they'll come back for more until either one or the other dies. He won't lose my scent," Rosie explained.
"I'm not giving up on you. I'm not going to see you die because of my stupidity from five years ago. I'm far too attached to you for me to let you go," he growled. "I'm so in love with you, and it's weak of a vampire to love a human, but I need you," he whined.
"Come on!" Thomas yelled.
"Wait a minute," Korey yelled back. "Please Rosie, don't give up."
"He'll kill you and your family for me," Rosie then cried.
"Rosie," Korey grabbed her hand. "As long as I died saving you, then so be it."
Rosie hugged Korey, and she cried. His arms tightened around her, making her feel comfortable. Korey walked over to the car with Rosie.
Korey and Rosie slid in the backseat together, and Thomas drove off.
