India Gate:- The India Gate, a war memorial constructed to pay homage to 90,000 soldiers who sacrificed their lives in World War I. It was designed by British architecture Edwin Lutyens in 1921. Located at Rajpath, India Gate is a 42m high monument. It is one of the popular picnic sites as well as place to have some relaxation during the summer evenings among the Delhiites. An eternal flame was lit here in the year 1971 to honor the Amar Jawan(immortal soldiers).

Red Fort:- Red Fort, the pride of India, is the site from where the Prime Minister of India address the entire nation on the occasion of Independence and Republic Day. Built by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan during his reign 1638 and 1648, this grand and imposing fort is octagonal in shape. This popular tourist spot houses the Mumtaz Mahal, the Rang Mahal, the Khas Mahal, the Diwan-i-am, the Diwan-i-khas, the Hamam and the Shah Burj. Apart from Lahori gate, other gate to enter Red Fort or fondly called Lal Quilla is Hathipol(elephant gate), where the rulers and their visitors would alight from their elephants.

Parliament House:- Indian Parliament House is an illustration of British architecture. This monument is an indispensable part of the Indian democracy. Previously known as the Circular House due to its circular structure and can be admired only from outside due to security reasons. It is located in New Delhi on Sansad Marg and designed by two British architects Sir Edwin Lutyens and Sir Herbert Baker.

Rashtrapati Bhawan:- As the name reflects, Rashtrapati Bhawan is the official residence of India's President. This monument was also designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens and stretches over an area of 330 acres. This building has 340 rooms and decorated with lush green gardens. These gardens are known as the Mughal Gardens, are a real treat to eyes.

Chandi Chowk:- One of the oldest and busiest areas of Delhi is Chandi Chowk. This area is overflowed with the wholesale shops that deals in various stuffs like textiles, electronic goods etc. This grandest market of India is located in Old Delhi, was designed by Jahanara Begum, the daughter of Shah Jahan. Chandi Chowk houses the original Haldiram and also renowned for Parantha Wali Gali.

Akshardham Temple:- Akshardham Temple which stands on the bank of the river Yamuna, is one of the famous Hindu Temple. This temple is one of the largest temples in India that covers an area of 100 acres and built in marble and sand stone. It is decorated with 234 exquisitely carved pillars, 20,000 statues and a number of arches. It also has a IMAX theater, exhibition halls, musical fountains and beautifully designed gardens.

Apart from these tourist spots, Delhi has some more attractive places to explore and enjoy, such as Kutub Minar, Humayun's Tomb, Lotus Temple, some amusement parks like Apu Ghar, Fun 'N' Food Village, Adventure Island, Delhi haat etc.
