Fallen, Angels, Daemons, and You - Part 4
Part 4
-Zella :)
****************************************
It seemed like another lifetime to Eliza that she was on that hill, staring blankly out into the night sky. It could have been, for all she cared. She knew that war was coming, she could feel it. The air had that same feel of dread and excitement to it, the same urgency. Her own father, Tenyo, Lord of Devils, had just declared war on all Fallen. And Zuse was sure to join, making it a three sided war...
Eliza just wanted to go away... far far away...
********** Memory time!!!***********
I let my wings stretch behind me as I sat down in the plaza, my butt on the stone ridge of a pool of water bellow me. I looked up to see the bright blue sky, closer than it would be for the humans down below. I frowned as I looked. I, unlike all the others, have never been human. Born of one angel and of Tenyo, the Lord of Devils when he took her as a wife. Thus causing me, a dark angel.
The sun was hurting my eyes. It made me feel exposed, naked to the world. I was much better visiting my father, who was deep beneath the earth right now. Instead of looking at the sun, I looked down and into the water of the pool to my right.
My reflection showed a woman, with black tumbling hair and wide ice blue eyes. Her face was impassive, smooth and flawless in a pool of milk colored silk. Then the curves of a woman. Then the black wings of the damned-
"Eliza! Eliza you have to see this!" I looked up to see a girl, just a girl. Her hair was the color of sunlight, bouncing as she moved and sending random rainbows to the angels around the plaza. Her wide green eyes were however, on me.
"Hello, Alaizabeth." I said, smiling at my best friend. She had known Alaizabeth since she died, a cave woman. She had changed from then, since when you died it was your soul-image that survived, not your body image. But even then I was fascinated with the strange girl. Alaizabeth grabbed my arm and made me stand up, "Come on! You have to see this!" She then rushed me out of the plaza and to the streets.
A large crowd was gathering outside a store. I knew the store, it was a weapons store. Frowning, I followed the comment of hair into the crowd of people and all the way to the window, were I looked into the store.
There was only one angel in the store besides the store clerk, a hansom man with intelligent features. All I could see was the man's backside, his pure white wings sticking out of his back and folded against marble white skin. I could see shoulder length brown hair, strong sculpted muscles under tight skin.
I raised an eyebrow and turned to Alaizabeth, who was all but squealing. "What? It's just a back side." I said.
A very sexy back side at that, I thought, turning back to the window. I froze as the girls around me squealed and the guys admired. The man had turned around.
His face was as white and silky looking as mine, just as pale. Yet it was strong, a warriors face wrapped around with thin, strait dark brown hair and decorated with perfect features and wide, deep brown eyes. Even though his face was impassive and distant, his eyes were shocked, soft.
I opened my mouth, then before I could help myself I was moving toward the door of the shop, which was held open. People said nothing, and I knew that his gaze stayed on me, I could feel it. I had no idea who he was, yet I felt as if I knew him, as if I had always known him.
I rushed into the door of the shop and stepped inside. The air was more chilly in the room, so I shivered, wrapping my arms around myself. My eyes never left the man's soft, dark ones.
"You...." He said, his voice strong and musical, like the deepest cord on a violin. "Eliza?" He said it like he was testing it, tasting it on his tongue.
She just stood there. How could he know her name? But she already knew that, since she knew his. "Lucifer." Her voice was not hesitant, but unusually soft for her.
Lucifer grinned, his face shinning like her own personal sun. But a sun she loved, not hatted. "Well now." Was all he said.
*********Memory done***********
Eliza bit her lip at the memory, then stood slowly, as if she could brake. She felt like she could, like she would. Silently, she walked back to her car, and got in. Only when she slipped inside the car and turned on the heater, did she fully realize that she was wet and cold, that her palms hurt from when she dug her nails into them earlier.
She shivered and huddled in her car, then sent her mind to all Fallen.
I ELIZA DARK- BLAH BLAH BLAH. YOU ALL KNOW WHO THE HELL I AM SO LISTEN UP.
