Making a Fall Flower Arrangement
Once you have decided to achieve something, then, it become easy to focus your energy into it. The decision drives us towards fulfillment of the activity. May be you would like to use flowers from your fall flower garden to make the arrangements.
Container
When you look at a flower arrangement, you observe everything about it, the way the flowers are arranged, their colors and the container they are put into. You must give a careful attention to the vase, even though, it is no the center of attention, in a flower arrangement. You can use a vase, a glass jar, a gourd or pumpkin to arrange the flowers in it. If you want to take special efforts, then, you can buy containers in the form of urns, baskets, ceramic vases, metal trays, boxes, Terracotta pots, etc. to suit your requirements. It will be a great help, if you have already decided, which flowers will go into your arrangement. It may help you in, buying the containers that will go in harmony or in contrast with the flowers of the arrangement. Additionally, you can use few other things, such as, floral foam and tape, something such as wire to anchor the flowers down in the container. You can also use items such as berries or a bunch of grapes or moss and seasonal grass to add the contrasting colors in the arrangement. The decoration items such as ribbons, colored marbles and stones or rocks can be used to create varied structures and textures in the flower arrangements.
Flowers
You can make fall flower arrangements by using flowers, such as, chrysanthemums, autumn joy, cosmos, goldenrod, helianthus, etc. It is important to decide, whether you are going to use western or eastern flower arrangement style to arrange your flowers. The western styles uses groups of flowers as the center or attraction, while the eastern styles such as Japanese, uses one or two flowers in the whole arrangement as its focal point.
Types of Flower Arrangements
You can arrange the flowers in horizontal arrangement. In this type you will have to use a shallow vase. The center of the flower arrangement is dominated by the fall flowers, which are arranged to appear to overflow the rim of the container.
The arrangements can also be achieved by arranging the flowers in vertical arrangement. The flowers used for this arrangement are long stemmed and they are arranged along the diameter of the vase. The space between these flowers is filled with flowers of different colors. The ones in a triangular shape can also be created, by arranging the long stemmed flowers at the center of the arrangement. On either side of these flowers, the rest of the flowers are arranged to create a triangular shape, by maintaining the proper length of the stems.
While you are creating the arrangements, give careful attention to the colors and flowers meanings. Pink and lavender colored flowers are used to express romantic feelings. Yellow, orange and red colored flowers express the feelings of vibrancy while blue and green flowers expresses the feeling of calmness. After completion, pay careful attention to the placement.
