Fall Asleep Forever

If I could fall asleep forever
I know I’d only dream of you.
I'd draw your image with my emotions
And kiss your lips with my breath.
Your skin---as soft as it may be---
Would tear my heart open.
Your hands---involuntarily---
Would constrict around my neck
And without knowing.
My body shaking in your presence,
My body shaking to its death.
It's not even the real you,
It’s the perception I painted in my head.
If in my dreams I have to die to be near you,
Then I would die I thousand deaths
And sleep and dream forever
If I could fall asleep forever....
