Fair Trade
Fair trade is a consumer-driven organized social movement that promotes fair prices, sustainability as well as social, labour, developmental and environmental standards and reasonable conditions to help producers of primary goods in developing countries. Fairtrade certification is a widespread standard of product certification used for labelling products produced by fair trade. Overseen by FLO International, Fair trade focuses on export of products from developing regions to developed countries. Fairtrade certified products are those with Fairtrade Certification Mark, and include products such as coffee, chocolate, clothing, gifts, tea, handicrafts, cocoa, sugar, bananas, honey, cotton, wine, fresh fruit, flowers, etc. Below are articles on fair trade and fairtrade certified products.
