To the west, Germany is bordered by France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Netherlands.

The highest point in Germany can be seen in the Alps, the Zugspitze which lies at 2,962 meters.
Major cities in Germany remain to be Berlin (capital), Munich and Hamburg.
Lowest point recorded in Germany is Wilstermarsch; this lies at 3.54; meters below sea level.
Germany enjoys the reputation of being a leader in different fields especially in the area of science and technology.

The Great Berlin Wall was built in 1961 in order to prevent the East Germany from escaping into the areas of West Germany. Today, not much is left of the wall at the original site. There were even reports wherein pieces of the wall were taken by miscreants and sold to others across the world.
There are various cultural sides to Germany! It has around 300 theatres and 500 art museums that reflect the importance Germans attach to art!
